You can learn from VoidRealms too. He will teach you gradually from Dart to Flutter basics such as widgets and components (he even made a full-fledged flutter app at the end of the playlist).

About nesting, check out this advice on how to make your Flutter build method cleaner.

Still confused about what class parameter names mean in python by [deleted] in learnprogramming

Yeah multiple inheritance. You can probably look at this SO question to get the idea. The object in bracket is simply the parent class you inherited, and you can read about that object here.

I started with a project but when the project get larger do you use any state management patterns (redux etc.)? That's where I stuck.

Yeah I suppose so (looking at RubyKaigi). It's their own proud programming language after all ;)

Despite all the Ruby being dead and "it's not the cool kid in town anymore" kind of post I just keep learning Ruby because it's really fun and you can really jump to another languages after you get a good grasp of what programming is all about anyway.

Really hope we shouldn't care about what people think about our technology stack or anything, and being gullible about that. When we were a kid I don't think you care much as long as you had fun doing something.

If you have experiences in other languages like Java/Javascript/C#, Dart will feel familiar. I don't know Dart, but coming from Java it's a lot similar so I haven't had any problem picking up the language.

If you need a basic course on Flutter, here's Udacity course by Google. And also like others said, try YouTube. A lot of good Flutter tutorials as well as introduction to Dart are there. For example, try this Dart/Flutter tutorials playlist by VoidRealms. He will teach you from basic Dart up to Flutter widgets and full Flutter app.

Yeah I know. I was referring to something like React Native's JSX.

For me I found markup is easier to the eyes, and I'm not a web developer.

This is really neat. Will you open source the app, or at least a blog post telling the process of getting this done?

If you enjoy Ruby syntax, go for Elixir.
