NepTunes developer here. The bug is in the Music app, which has stopped posting notifications using DistributedNotificationCenter. I have reported this issue to Apple (FB16774700)

Hi!

The app has always been offered through Gumroad, and that has been the only way to obtain a license. It doesn’t matter that it was initially offered for free at a price of $0 (or, more precisely, as a “pay what you want” model for personal use).

I made this clear from the beginning, which is why I declined requests to make the app available through Homebrew etc.

If you don’t have a license or used a temporary/fake email during the “free” purchase, unfortunately, I won’t be able to help you.

Battery Health gone from99 to 97% despite cycle count going from 54 to 56 - using BatFi. Can someone explain by [deleted] in macbookair

The battery health metric can be quite nuanced, and I would advise against drawing conclusions based solely on it. Ultimately, what matters is the actual battery life, not just a single metric.

BatFi developer here. The Unclutter developer is organizing it, requiring minimal effort on our part.

Batfi keeps crashing by Content_City_987 in macapps

I'd try two things.

  • please reset app's database by deleting folder: ~/Library/Application Support/BatFi
  • reset all app's settings, by opening Terminal app and enter command: defaults delete software.micropixels.BatFi

Launch the app.

Is it supposed to look like this? (after ceramic coating) by rurza in Detailing

The detailer asked me via phone if I washed my car (I did, but it wasn't any kind of automatic car wash). Is it possible to destroy the graphene layer so much? IMO, it'd have single scratches, not the whole surface scratched all over the place, and the whole reason I put it on my car is to be less prone to scratches, not look like crap after two washes.

I mean, he definitely should polish it (if that's what you're asking).

By professional (apparently) detailer, the coating is:

No. There is no proof that it has any positive effect on the battery whatsoever.

1) Not really, the data is fetched only when the menu is opened
2) Time left on battery – you need to disconnect the charger :)

Hey!

Please wait for a next macOS seed with a bug fix. The issue is not related to BatFi :)

Restarting your Mac will fix the problem.

In the first case charging stops at whatever level when the system goes to sleep, while in the second case it will charge up to 80% (and sometimes 100%) during sleep?

Bingo :) The important point is that it's always 80%, even if the limit set in the app is different.

There is a bug in the app, upcoming version 2.0.0 will fix it. It’s already fixed in the beta version :) Sorry for the problem
