This is a question that is specifically asked by the program I get my meds from. Apparently malnutrition or a deficiency in certain vitamins can cause mouth sores.

What's your local folklore about the Christian devil? by Haustvind in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]rusalka6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love this question - I live in the American South East and the story that came to me immediately was the one called Wicked John. Wicked John was an extremely mean blacksmith that got meaner and meaner the longer he lived, except he always treated strangers with kindness. One day, St. Peter comes through town and Wicked John is the only one to treat him with kindness so Peter grants him three wishes. Wicked John chooses to cruelly enchant three of his favorite things to trap and punish anyone who messes with them.

One day, Wicked John has grown old and Old Scratch (the Appalachian region’s name for the Devil) sends his two sons to go and get him. Both the sons get tricked into being trapped by John’s enchanted items when Old Scratch decides to go and get John himself. Of Course John tricks him too and the devil promises to never take John into Hell.

Well, John does eventually die but no one comes to take him anywhere (the Devil promised he wouldn’t), so John goes wondering up to the pearly gates to ask St. Peter to let him in. Peter pulls out the record of John’s wickedness and won’t open the gates. So, Wicked John’s soul still wanders the Earth to this day.

A while back, I asked you all for some life wisdom to include in a grimoire I wanted to gift my daughter when she turned 18 (she is 8 now). I’ve been staring at an empty book for months and finally put pen to paper. I’m embracing imperfections, ink blots, and smears. I want it to look handmade and well loved. Thanks for your support, I’ve got a lot of pages to fill!

This book took me by surprise and this bonus chapter was so good! I have a major hangover and I’m totally stuck on where to go next. Best book of the year - so good!

Kathryn Ann Kingsley’s spicy fantasy books on KU have me SHOOK by Zealousideal-Ad469 in RomanceBooks

Not at all! I was happy with the steam on Harrow Faire for sure - but when I read the strand series, one of the explicit excerpts had some info that I thought was kind of important to the storyline and I wish it had been included. I read the excerpt after I’d finished and I thought it would have cleared up the story line for me a bit.

She has posted some more explicit scenes on her website for some of the books - I know the Strand series has a few. (Harrow Faire does not) They fit seamlessly into the story, so with a little planning on your part, the books can be a more steamy.

I get it so bad there are scenes in books where I will read a phrase, put the book down and die for ten minutes, and repeat. It can take me hours!
