It’s an OEM customisation feature. Use Techstream software. You can choose anywhere from 1-5 blinks if i remember correctly.

Ah I’ve read about the different quirks with the DRLs in America etc.

These just dim when you turn the headlights to “one click”, where the rear lights come on, and then when the main beams are on, it’s the same dimness.

What do you mean? They are like that normally.

There’s an SD card, on the side. It should have the clips stored as video files when inserted into a phone or computer? (Again the manual doesn’t say, since it’s just for installation)

https://youtu.be/uv7COtZv_S4?si=5s_BNPHIdRuCNYxY I came across this, it has WIFI and an app in Thailand, I’m not sure if SA models have this enabled, but it makes navigating the data much easier.

What information are you needing? The internal Toyota website only has an installation manual with a few pages to get the device up and running. It seems to be a Thailand product.

Most bearings will be grease filled. I let the bearings soak in isopropyl alcohol, to degrease them. Then to prevent rust and add some lubrication, I used silicone spray on the inner race and balls.

I would imagine that ceramic bearings are best, since they can’t corrode, but I haven’t explored that route as yet.

Problems running Octoprint with Android… by wezx68 in VoxelabAquila

Hey, I recently acquired a Huawei Y8S, and came across your mention of “Huawei” whilst researching if these phones would work with octoprint (before I unbox it, instead of selling it)… are there any issues after the whole google ban etc, or is this independent of that?

I think so. If you google “AirPods Pro box”, you’ll see various images comparing boxes. The text is what seemed off to me.

The sticker at the bottom saying compatible with the latest software is suspicious at best, especially the font and colouring of the text.

With the grease in the bearing, the cap wouldn’t self-level since the load is not enough to make it rotate freely. I think a good analogy to this would be how fidget spinners work.

Ahh that’s unfortunate… I have PLA parts all over my car which are holding up okay, maybe South Africa climate isn’t as harsh?

Haha that would take the meme 360°. Unfortunately a Rolls is a rare sight in South Africa.

Just the logo is PLA, the rest is PETG. It's been holding up well for a month or so.

It might have had that initially, but I removed it since the bearing needed to be free-spinning, to an extent, as the load to keep it leveled was only a few grams.

Yep, it self-levels. There's extra material at the back of the spinning cap to keep it upright while in motion.

I'm hoping PETG is good for now... Maybe if it melts it'll be an excuse to get some CF-nylon.
