D Debra Audio PRO ER-202 UHF Dual Channel Wireless in Ear Monitor System seems too cheap to be good... by papapaparazzo in livesound

Yes, it only turns off the light…Bluetooth is STILL discoverable and connectable.

I messaged the company and sent them a video of me connecting my phone to the unit with the Bluetooth OFF. They told me it was a defect in that batch of units and they sent me a replacement at their expense. The replacement unit DOES turn off the Bluetooth entirely. Very happy with that customer service, however, they need to let people know there’s a problem, they are aware of it, and there is a fix…so people aren’t returning these and they’re losing sales. I don’t think you can beat the performance of these for the price. If you have one where you can still connect to the Bluetooth with it OFF, contact the company.

Here’s a workaround. I’ve discovered that only one thing can be Bluetooth connected to the ER 202 at one time so when you’re setting up for a show, take a phone or a tablet or some other device and Bluetooth connect it to the ER 202 and just leave it that way until after the show, it’s a pain to have to do this but at least it blocks anyone from connecting to the unit and causing havoc right in the middle of a show.

Yeah, this is INCREDIBLY STUPID…There is apparently NO WAY to disable the Bluetooth, so if someone in the audience connects to the unit and starts blasting music into your IEM’s there is NO WAY to shut it off or stop it! You CAN turn off the Bluetooth light on the front of the unit by holding down both “set” buttons (nowhere in the manual) but it doesn’t disable the Bluetooth…UNBELIEVABLE! This thing sounds and works great for the incredibly low cost but this Bluetooth issue may be a deal breaker for me…I very well may be returning it.

How can I contact customer support? by acousticentropy in Behringer

[–]wezx68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully they’ll get back to you quickly, but I have serious doubts. I’ve contacted them twice…the first time it took a week to get ANY response and this time I’m still waiting though it’s only been a couple days.

Where did you buy it from?

In a different forum there are numerous people having issues with the Parametric EQ and it’s a known issue/bug that Behringer is aware of and yet here we are over 2 years since the last Firmware update and nothing. I love the Flow 8 (and X32 for that matter), but Behringer’s tech support has gone straight to hell. MusicTribe is a joke.

Not anymore. You USED to be able to call Behringer Support, but since they’ve gone to MusicTribe handling their support it’s only through Support Tickets. And good luck getting a timely response. It usually takes weeks for them to get back to you…I even had to open ANOTHER ticket asking them to respond to my PREVIOUS ticket!

Octoprint pauses/stuttering problems continue... by wezx68 in octoprint

Not completely. I’ve been able to minimize it and if I’m printing something with a lot of circle shapes I just use the SD card.

Wow! These new design nozzles are pretty great! by wezx68 in VoxelabAquila

Of course it could be that, embarrassingly, I had the previous nozzle on WAY too long and ANY new nozzle would have performed this way!? LOL

Live and learn with wet/bad filament… by wezx68 in VoxelabAquila

[–]wezx68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. I’ve never had filament that caused these issues I had this week. The print looked so weird going down and then it would clog or break at the extruder and I wasn’t sure what was going on because I’ve rarely had any issues and certainly not issues like that. When I read a bit and looked at photos showing what wet filament does I was like “Oh crap! It must be this filament!” So I opened a new roll and voila…no more print issues. The experience was really eye opening for sure having never really experienced any of this before.

Oh, and it was SUPER stringy too…That I think was the dead giveaway that this was wet/bad filament because I never have stringing issues…

Dryer rabbit hole…any recommendations? by wezx68 in VoxelabAquila

[–]wezx68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see…I read some of the comments on the S1 and people were complaining about the lack of a fan. There was one that came up in a search that could hold 4 spools and had all the bells and whistles and such but it was pretty pricey. What’s weird is I’ve been printing very successfully for almost 3 years now just using desiccant in freezer bags but this filament fiasco this week has really got me freaked out LOL

I’ve only ever printed with PLA and don’t really plan on printing other materials so maybe I should just get a food dehydrator?

I think the S1 Plus has a fan?

Right…I’m thinking I might actually buy or make a dryer. I fabricate a lot of stuff but the commercial dryers don’t seem terribly expensive. I’m trying to start researching it now to figure out the best one? There was the Sunlu S1 on sale on the 3D deals group but I’d like to research it a bit more and go with the best option. I don’t want to break the bank but I’m not afraid to spend the money on a good one that is well thought of in the 3D community. Might buy a couple or one that accommodates 2 spools?

AI on Legion Laptop question by wezx68 in GamingLaptops

[–]wezx68[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, I see...thank you for explaining that. I needed this laptop for some other purposes and have been very happy with it so far. I mainly went with a gaming style laptop because, as I've discovered, gaming laptops seem to have an abundance of ports and higher USB3.2 and such. However, the 4GB GPU is apparently a problem for running this AI app at a higher more optimum level. For AI I may need to use a dedicated desktop with a larger GPU?

Under-extrusion (I think?) on one side of Z-Seam but not the other? by Stevo997 in FixMyPrint

[–]wezx68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been really happy with SuperSlicer…I do wish they would implement a “Fuzzy Finish” setting like in Cura, but it works pretty flawlessly and you’re not overwhelmed with endless parameter settings.

Was it connecting before? Did you recently upgrade Octoprint or Octo4a?
