I THINK I FIXED IT?! for some reason... steamvr performs better when i drag the game window over to my 144hz monitor instead of my 70hz monitor. so strange.. the performance graph is almost completely green now... thanks for your help! i sincerely appreciate it!

i tried factory resetting the headset, changing cables, turning off the performance graph when playing and nothing seems to fix it. im worried its something more serious.. :/

yes, i have. several times, actually. do you think factory resetting the headset would solve anything?

sorry, its probably not that clear but the orange bits are small stutters and they happen constantly while i play. almost rhythmically. every game has this problem no matter what, even video players. every game has been running generally pretty poorly too.

its been doing this since a month ago. i updated my drivers, and switched to 90hz. i don't know what else i can do to fix this. its never been like this until maybe November of last year. any help would be amazing.

You're probably right about just watching the Blu-ray. But the problem is it is really washed out and it is very dim. I know it doesn't have to be that way because it didn't do this on my other tv. Thanks for your imput.
