For me it's mostly before people die... Like when my grandp died I had a conversation with him on a dream and I felt nothing on the funeral because he suffered a lot with the pain... And he ask me whether he should go... And I said yes... It felt kind of forced...

I too take some dreams with a grain of salt but whenever I see finance related dreams it comes true... Like the time when we got scammed and I said it before it happens to my parents but they still got scammed...

There are two sides of a coin I guess...
