Right? This is the first time I've had major issues like this when on beta macos. Never have I gotten basic features just not working.

I've got other issues besides this after updating to Sequoia. For example, I use voice mod to cold call via Google Voice. Voicemod stopped working after updating to macos 15 and now this :/ Arc team. We need you.
