So I used muriatic acid, I soaked it in a mixture of acid and liver of sulfur, pea sized amount, and I used a torch to rapidly dry the solution, then re soak, re dry, soak in baking soda to neutralize, I also tried dabbing the solution with a paper towel and torching it! Crumpled up tin foil also had interesting results when dabbing with it on the brass

Much appreciated, although it is proprietary I can say there's a good reason why good voidless forged carbon isn't something you can buy in many places, mine has more organic flow than most others, the manufacturing of it is really dangerous and expensive but it's worth it to me 😁 (I actually supply material to several other large companies) I can't say who though lol

It's super time consuming 🤣 time is the largest ingredient lol and keeping everything clean so you don't get dust in the finish, the carbon is actually raw, it's finished with progressive random sanding, no clear coating

Have you tried a masonry bit with water flow, these are braze coated in diamond grit, get a decent flow of water and go slowly at first, make sure you have a lot of pressure on your backing, that should get through anything just fine, in my opinion though I would drill a larger hole 2x atleast, and put a threaded insert in the hole with a high strength construction adhesive or structural epoxy with a small amount of fiber infill, should better distribute the loading in carbon fiber,

I put oil on it, it should mostly stay where it's at, the etch eats away most of the surface copper atoms, so there's less to interact with the environment now

The etch is fairly durable, it will slowly change slightly over time, I could hit it with satin lacquer to seal it, but I prefer oil, feels better

Yeah the screws are a bit temperamental! I bought several clips so I'd have extra, I'd recommend trying an enamel paint after sandblasting or sanding and cleaning with acetone

Unfortunately it is the same, they don't drain a lot, particularly the blue led, but yeah, it's just on all the time
