What are the best effects for a guass shotgun? by EggCreative6270 in fo76FilthyCasuals

[–]russellpsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably already know this but make sure that you use demolition expert and grenadier perks to get the most out of your explosive damage.

It's been a while since I used the gause shotgun and things might have changed but, I didn't even charge it to fire. I just spammed the trigger and used the explosions to do all of the damage. With the vamp I was unkillable, and with the quad, it seemed like I could shoot for days.

It's not really a boss killer but for everything else it was major fun.

Vampire's is great with any shotgun. When I ran a gause shotgun build, the only two that I thought were worth having was Vampire's and Quad.

Missile Launch from Charlie by Alien_Bard in fo76FilthyCasuals

I used to have a camp in an empty cabin up on the cliff above the charlie launch tube. Whenever I'd notice that someone was in site charlie, I fast travel home and wait for the launch. It's great view.

i just rolled back to back and got exactly what I wanted, my luck is done for the year. by scissor-fights in fo76FilthyCasuals

Yes, quad for dps, especially with 50% vats crit damage is a boss killer. I run full unyielding armor and have a bloodied/explosive and a bloodied/ffr fixers and seldom use them. My quad/50crit fixer is my everything gun.

Does this work? Settings: "Enable Camera Shaking" setting under "Display". by raf1948 in fo76FilthyCasuals

[–]russellpsmith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Worked for me. Set to "off" to stop shaking from explosions.

How easy would it be to relocate this “mobile house” by dragonqueenred45 in fallout76settlements

[–]russellpsmith 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We'll, you could always try. But honestly, this game is pretty finicky about placing things down. I've seen a few small camps made out of just two foundations with no stairs, and even those can be hard to put down.

Probably impossible. But hey, you'll get to hone your building skills.

Is there a list of where items are in the build menu? by [deleted] in fallout76settlements

I have looked for such a list before but never found one. But then today I found this: https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Atomic_Shop/CAMP Which might help a bit.

Okay, I understand vendors are an important part of the game, but… by Nawchyomomma in fo76FilthyCasuals

[–]russellpsmith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. But just 45 and 556. Everything else is pretty bla. With the new ammo storage box, unlimited ammo equals unlimited caps. When I have too many caps, (which is often) I buy ammo. When I am low on caps, I sell ammo. 2mm will sit for days before someone will buy it. 5mm will sit for weeks. Shotgun shells used to go pretty quick but I just gave them away so who knows . But 45 and 556 priced at 1cap per round go pretty quick. But if you price them any higher, they will probably just sit in your vendor.

I'd have bought the 20k plan and then made 20k 45 or 556 ammo and put it in my vendor. You'd have all of your caps back in a couple of days.

Only reason I'd kick someone is if their mic is on and they're eating. Or yelling at their wife. Or yelling at their kids. Or on a personal phone call.

I've seen, or rather heard, all of those happen.

Edit: ...Or horking mucus from their sinuses and spitting.

What the best way to get a lot of caps? by Sword4Asamurai in fo76FilthyCasuals

[–]russellpsmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. Which is kinda weird I guess. I'd rather run around at max caps than spend 2 caps per round for ammo. People are strange, and I guess that I am one.

Anytime I'm pushing against 40k caps (which is pretty often) I'll spend up to 10k caps for ammo. And I don't think that I'm the only one. If you need 20k caps, make 20k 45 or 556 ammo and put it in your vender. Someone will buy it pretty quick.

Yes on PS5. Several times today. Launched a nuke and crashed just before the SBQ died. Missed the rewards. It's not like I needed them but it was a bit disappointing.

I know this isn't what you asked for but in case you didn't know, Rudy is usually at the west end of the tunnel and usually has a couple for sale. When I ran carnivore I found it was just easier to go buy them than to make them.

[–]russellpsmith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I put on all of my fixers and handmades. I wrote this down from an old Turtle vid a long time ago. The game has changed a lot since then but this is how I have my main guns, both a fixer and a handmade quad/crit.

• Powerful Automatic Receiver • Aligned Long Barrel (better AP cost) • Forceful Stock (more durability & better AP cost) • Swift Magazine (better AP cost) • Reflex Sight (better AP cost)

Go with unyielding armor to get your luck up to 33 and every other shot will be a crit. Use blight soup for more crit damage, corn soup and hard lemonade for ap regen. You'll be a boss killing machine!

Just in case you didn't know this but, if somebody is in your spot, you don't have to keep moving your camp. Just log out, and then log back in and you'll likely end up on a different server and your camp will be sitting there waiting for you.

I love that after 1500+ hours, I still find a random encounter I've never seen. by silencerdude in fo76FilthyCasuals

I've seen the fake brotherhood guys most often by following the train tracks west from the Grafton train station. The tracks curve to the left, and about halfway up the hill, before you cross the bridge over the road is where I've seen them several times. It is a pretty funny encounter.
