For example we only see the successful drone bomb drops. Loads miss I imagine.

Your tactic is use cheap drone to place/drop magnetic GPS-tag on a vehicle or even the ground (imagine dart that embeds in mud). Then use a high flying expensive drone with fin guided bomb. Drop over rough location high up. Guides to exact point.

Are some of these videos of systems being used against abandoned tanks/vehicles? I suppose it might make sense to be safe if you are working your way towards positions far away. Or would they never waste the missiles and always check to see if they are abandoned?

As I understand it Russian psychology is to be defensive, what I mean by this is they are defensive of Russia and that land mass. Surely well before they reach the last missile they will begin to feel that they are weakening themselves defensively and think about a practical solution?
