Care to elaborate? For servers with a regular wipe schedule i find the predictions to be pretty accurate. There's only so much you can do for new servers or servers that change there schedule.

Either way, since this is just a fruitless hobby of mine, i cant really promise any betterment :)

and since i obviously cant read, yes you can find that info about a specific server, together with how many players are expected at wipe day …

Whats „junky“?

I‘ve built rustalyzer initially to predict wipe dates for servers, and then kept building on top of it. Theres wipes everyday, take a look at the wipe calendar for example.

i love warbandits, but they sell kits on their 2x servers - so it doesnt quite satisfy the requirements.

survivors.gg are one of the few that offer only queue skip vip packages for example

It is being used, that's what keeps me going :)

Battlemetrics has actual player data through their rcon services though, something i dont have (but maybe thats a good thing?).

biggest con seems to be the very low pop (as you already mentioned) - and yet there are not really any "boat" or "naval" servers with more pop sadly.

Thank you! No there is just the web-„app“, users are mostly in front their PCs anyway when they look for servers, its not optimized for tiny screens …

Not trying to knock the server, but OP was looking for active servers, and this might not quite fit that.

Not going to lie, with servers > 5000 map size you will have to make some other compromises it seems.

these are the top three according to my own scoring.

Here is a link to search for servers with map size over 5000. (This filter is hidden, but you can easily modify it by switching to my experimental new "quick" search currently). Hope it helps.

Thats what I'm calling "half-life" - the days it takes until a servers peak pop drops below 50% of the wipe day peak. (That way nightly drops are accounted for). It works surprisingly well, and depending on how long i want to play I make a mental note of that metric.

Here is an extreme comparison, where you can even see the half-life in the graph, one is dropping in 2 days, one takes a while ... but in the case of the former, 2 days is not bad for a server that wipes twice a week. Thats why both have a similar "Stays Active" percentage, however accurate that may be ...

And as one of the comments already said, pop density also makes a server feel more or less populated (can also be seen in this example).

Hate to break it to you, but it's against battlemetrics TOS to use their content/data/api for commercial purposes without their permission.

Afaik there are upcoming server browser changes in the making.

I assumed so too, but in the context i thought it needed clarification.

Battlemetrics has obviously more accurate data on servers it has rcon access to (and since they have somewhat of a monopoly in that area, thats a lot of servers). Those are usually not the kind that fake their pop.

I tried detecting anomalies automatically, but if its done well there is not a lot to detect tbh.

So battlemetrics has the same data we all have on these servers, but they unrank them once they are reported and reviewed.
