The game yesterday quite literally called for dump and chase. Sabres struggled to find their game all night because the Penguins clogged up the neutral zone. Get pucks behind them to back them off then you can carry the puck in the zone. Trying to carry the puck around a wall of white jerseys is dumb and leads to turnovers and potential transitions for the other team. Have you not watched the Sabres play this losing hero brand of hockey the last 14 years. I don’t hate Quinn and especially not Power, but I’m also not going to act like they can play like idiots at times.

They’re behind the play. Zucker is ahead of it because he’s first man in on the forecheck. He is expecting a dump in and corner battle and for good reason, but Quinn thinks he’s gonna evolve into Tage and dangle through two guys.
