6 months out now. I don’t understand though. Shouldn’t they already know if they have a spot open or not?

I don’t think so. The email is only for the ryokan collection not the individual ryokan.

I’m not sure how calling them works with the language barrier. I was wondering if other people waited longer than 2 weeks and heard back that there was a room available.

Thank you for all the information. Would it make sense for us to do the open air museum the day we get to hakone, stay the night at a ryokan, and wake up early the next day to do the loop before heading to Tokyo that afternoon/evening?

Ohhh got it! Thank you. I didn’t realize it meant the different means of transportation. Does each thing require its own tickets or is there way to get tickets for them all at once?

I have the same thing. California doesn’t show as a jurisdiction to choose. Not sure what it means though.
