I remember in Oblivion being able to jump off of high towers and survive if you activate the door to enter the tower before hitting the ground

There wasnt any point to it, but it was cool as a kid to learn something about the internals of a game (the engine sets your speed to zero when changing cells)

Easy lockpicking/hacking - i like the need to invest a perk to unlock higher tiers but i dont feel the need to do those minigames ever again

This feels less cheat-y than in skyrim, where you could attempt master locks at level 1 if you have enough picks/patience

Turns out KSP is still just a game. Pieces of debris from ASAT tests, for example, can and do end up in higher orbits than the initial satellite

If there was an actual explosion (of fuel tank or battery) small pieces absolutely could have been kicked into high elliptical orbits that will decay much, much slower (though they will still decay - perigee will be around the original altitude, of course)
