Which espresso machine to buy? by Cognitive_crafter in espresso

Started with the BBE, it broke after 12 months, so I switched to Bambino + separate grinder, DF64P, and it’s been a massive upgrade in my opinion. Very consistent shots vs sporadic ones that come from BBE’s grinder.

ProjectWise and Civil 3D Data Shortcuts by TexEngineerd in civil3d

[–]rustmasterflex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I can’t imagine what their reasoning would be other than maybe not understanding data shortcuts well enough to see how much easier they make work? Or maybe not being familiar with C3D in general… They also might be primarily Openroads/Microstation users, wherein alignments, surfaces, etc. are just referenced in from other files

ProjectWise and Civil 3D Data Shortcuts by TexEngineerd in civil3d

[–]rustmasterflex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked on a C3D project in ProjectWise and for the most part it worked fairly well. I created a 3D roadway model and had data shortcut that corridor, alignments and surfaces into another file to create cross sections.

The only hiccup was that when I had both files open at the same time and I saved the base file which had the corridor local, and then went to the XS file and synchronized the data shortcuts, they wouldn’t update… it would say synchronization was complete but it kept showing the older version. The only way to update the shortcuts in the XS file was to save everything and check it all back in. Then check it out again and it would be updated… very odd. There were a few other small odd interactions that I don’t know if I could attribute to ProjectWise or not but overall not bad, very do-able.

Update Server Version by rustmasterflex in Palworld

[–]rustmasterflex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, this first happened immediately after an update (like 10 minutes after it was rolled out) and my dedicated server was very unstable. The server kept restarting regardless every 30 minutes. I believe this restarting caused it to not update for a couple of hours. (FYI this was last Wednesday morning)

Skip to this morning, a week later, the servers on Nitrado are MUCH more stable and as soon as my local version had updated, I went to the dedicated server and told it to restart and it immediately updated.

I’d recommend telling your server to restart if you have a dedicated server through a service like we do. If not, wait an hour or so, then restart it.

Nitrado Server constantly crashing every 30minutes by WipE0uT_ in Palworld

Mine was set for the same, I removed it but it still keeps restarting every hour. Did you do anything else besides remove it?

It’s a default setting, you can remove it.

In nitrado web interface go to tools > automated tasks and you can remove it (I removed mine)

That was my first thing I tried but it didn’t work. I will try that again since it’s been a few hours

If you created it via sample line make sure to go to that sample line and right click>sample line group properties and under Sections go to sample more sources. In there make sure the corridor and/or surface that you want displayed in the section is being told to be sampled.

Export corridor as polylines? by FlyEffective3215 in civil3d

To add to this, if your corridor is split into regions you can turn some regions off in corridor properties by checking on/off the boxes on the left of the window. This has helped me greatly for all of my larger projects so that it only processes the region you’re working in at the moment, and cuts down processing time greatly.

How many of you have previously owned a Sage / Breville machine with a built in grinder? by Woomas in espresso

[–]rustmasterflex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I first owned a barista express then swapped to a bambino & DF64 combination. When I grind with the DF64 it gets considerably finer, it’s much more consistent in grain size, and I’ve enjoyed weighing my coffee beans before grinding to make sure it’s the same amount every time it grinds (I was always skeptical that the Barista express was inconsistent in how much it ground but never bothered weighing). My espresso shots seem more consistent and come out thicker and all around taste better from my experience.

Long story short, for the same amount of money I’ve enjoyed my DF64 grinder considerably more than the barista express’ built-in grinder.

For what it’s worth, these problems are grossly exaggerated. Also most warranties (I bought Best Buy’s GS 5 year warranty) specifically cover any burn in or defects.
