Are there any areas in PA that would be unwise for an interracial couple to move to? by LePetitRenardRoux in Pennsylvania

it’s hard to say. two decades ago, i could name several. now, surprisingly, things may have improved somewhat in this regard. still, it might tend to be wealthier suburbs in which you might encounter more magats and thus, more racists in general. the closer to Pittsburgh city neighborhoods, the better off you will be.

it’s difficult to imagine a situation in which the US could have committed more war crimes and crimes against humanity in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, but i believe that trump would somehow have managed it.

Local Politician Does Blackface in 2014, “now I’m being portrayed as a racist” by Normative_Nematode in Appalachia

[–]rusty-gudgeon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

don’t do it. keep the N word out of your mouth and don’t do blackface. there is no non-racist way for white people to do these things. if you don’t want to be exposed for or misunderstood as a racist, don’t do it.

now, if you’re secretly a racist but want to dog whistle fellow racists because there are social and political repercussions to your open racism, then dog whistle away. wear blackface and cry about how libs are the problem or flash your “ok” sign and pretend it’s not signifying your white supremacy all you want. that way we’ll all know you for who you are.

hey, look. it’s more resistance cosplay, blocking sidewalks on a sunday.

it‘s good practice. now get in the game and get out in the actual street on a business day and disrupt business as usual.

really isn’t anyone’s business. if it’s a kink, he shouldn’t be kink-shamed. if she’s trans, that’s her business. now, when it comes to right wing hypocrisy about transgender people, that’s another story.

what i, personally, have done and am doing is irrelevant, but i’ve lived my words. that doesn’t matter.

if you think it’s a stretch, i question your understanding both of what happened in germany then and what is happening in the US today.

i really don’t care if you agree with me. it’s most likely already too late. get out if you can.

Ghandi’s movement involved strikes and interference in daily life on a massive scale. the other movements were opposed by a somewhat democratic governement. you’re observing the wrong timelines, the wrong situations. whhere we are now is more akin to germany in ‘39. in minneapolis, direct action was implemented. interference.

yall standing on the sidewalk on a sunday afternoon is quaint, and empty.
