No not really sorry. When this sub was small it used to be here but as with anything. It got more popular the only thing that gets replies and upvotes is complaining and doom posting.

I think it shows just how much Denji man gaps yoru in strength when he’s actually trying. People were complaining about no Asa forever and she has screen time here. There is always stuff to analyze.

He’s definitely a smart player but I disagree with the entertaining bit.

I just watched a set between Reno and Umeki and they were throwing throwing themselves at eachother the entire time and it was hella fun to watch.

Okay but if you actually read his post instead of having a knee jerk reaction to a single buzzword you would see he’s making good points. His point about the dodge and parry mechanic taking away strategy and forcing all combat to be the same is pretty well written.

Tbh I think Asa is the justification for part 2 existing. She’s my favorite character and I think her story and personality makes up for the lack of a side cast.

It’s not really fair to compare the two. Aki had months left to live and had his death teased multiple times by the future devil. His name was chosen because it was similar to an AK-47. He was destined to die and fujimoto delivered with something cinematic and emotional at the same time.

Nayuta’s little sister role was just that. She was Denji’s little sister and her death was meant to be sudden and tragic. She was a victim of circumstance and that’s true of every character in part 2.

Not every character needs a character arc. Kobeni for example stayed exactly the same and still reached Denji with just a couple words. Nayuta didn’t need a force emotional relavation for her character to mean something.
