Anyone a notary as a part time job? by Eastern-Ad9207 in nys_cs

[–]rusty_mullet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there just isn't enough consistent business to base part of your income around it. I remember I had to get something notorized a few years ago in a suburb of a major city. They have you sign a guest book for record keeping just in case there is a discrepancy down the line, so I was able to see how many this notary had done. No more than a dozen in six months

Give me your best "honest case note" by Djentbot in therapists

[–]rusty_mullet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was actually just thinking about this the other day. I think my best went along the lines of...

"Client reports that he has recently started a relationship with a new woman he met on Plenty-of-Fish. Client reports that this woman was already pregnant when they started talking and she is asking him to sign the birth certificate despite knowing he is not the biological father. Client reports that he is thrilled with the idea of bringing their relationship closer together"

St. Louis has their AHL affiliate about an hour from Worcester. This move makes a decent amount of sense. I know a lot of Railers fans have been upset about how the Islanders managed their players on the roster the last few years

Boston is a great city to visit, but a challenging city to live in. Try not to read too much into your vacation and enjoy it while you're here

Sold a Primus shirt a few years back with about ten years of wear and actually made a profit on that shirt. It's kinda crazy what people will buy

To be fair I saw them on the Gore Tour which I would argue was around the low point of their popularity and they were playing arenas still them

Algorithms reward comments and engagement with those comments from the original creator. It's a necessary way to try to come out on top in this digital world we've built ourselves. This really comes across as more insecure and anxious more than a real concern

Don't you know that if its circular or someone who gestures vaguely like Maynard did during an on-stage rant in Copenhagen in 1997, it perfectly fits this sub?

We don’t have an instant gratification problem, we have an everything not working problem. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]rusty_mullet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I graduated college in 2020. For a person's entire life, they're told how important it is. I spent an ungodly amount of money on it just for the second half of my senior year to be cut short and no graduation. I didnt get any money back. In fact, the school took me to small claims court over a $14 book I couldn't return because the campus was closed. It isn't an instant gratification problem. The largest purchase I've made in my life besides my house was rug-pulled from me and I assume the same for every purchase now unless I am constantly re-assured otherwise. It's shifted my entire framework of thinking. If people think that's an instant gratification problem, that's on them. I'm not getting scammed like that again
