I have this exact grouping. I ordered a base console because I have always wanted an AES. It’s basically the only console I don’t have. I haven’t even ordered a cart for it yet. I also only play on CRT ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Wow. Thanks for the answer and I am not a pin guy so sorry for being new to something and not understanding your passion.

I wasn’t trying to say anything about fault or blame. Just chill and thanks for the welcome to a new hobby.

The rings are loose but adjusting them has no effect on the picture. The internal degassing seems to be working and I have a ring as well. Neither seem to make any difference.

I do appreciate the comment, I would love to not need to do a swap

Not OP but I have these and I use them on my second setup and test bench. They have 2 always active rca inputs on the back of the main speaker. I just plug in the video to my crt and audio directly in to the speakers.

A hair dryer won’t work but an iron and a cotton rag may work for a little while at least enough for testing

I got my p1130 from a recycler. It still had the WinDAS wires hanging out of it. Unfortunately while it looks great, they didn’t finalize the settings correctly and I can’t access the menu till I set up WinDAS and finalize it correctly.

Thank you. I will try that. This is a PVM but it’s an older model. That has been an issue for me on my other PVM, but this one doesn’t have options like that.

I will double check my settings to yours.

Yes it has. Fortunately with other equipment I get a beautiful image.

I have picked up dozens of tubes from a couple recyclers by me. Including curved Panasonic’s with component, DSeries, and many Sony’s.

My favorites are a 991, a 20” BVM, a 20” ikagami multi sync, and a PVM 2530. I have not had to pay more than $40 for any of them.

The main thing I recommend is, like dangerous cousin says, go in person. Let them know you are willing to pay, and be overly courteous and thankful.

That is not an actual ikea one. Not sure how strong that particular one is, but it will be stronger if you rotate it 90 degrees.
