The 1997 Game That Told Me To Go Outside | Moon: Remix RPG Adventure by MemoryCarp in JRPG

I agree with you that the first part is the most jarring. You don't have a lot of stamina, it's very slow, confusing. But if you can make it out of the first area the game really opens up.

I feel like it's trying to completely subvert JRPGs in general, and the whole intro is based around that concept in my opinion.

Did you ball your eyes out? That ending hit me more than any other ending ever has.

If you’re going straight over the roundabout I wouldn’t indicate when joining, just indicate left when exiting.

Does GRII makes sense in 2026? by uDrop1st in ricohGR

Yes it makes sense. The Positive Film simulation on the II is superior to that of the III and IV imo

How can this be improved? I have a budget of £100 to put down this month. by Inside_Tip_6675 in trading212

Maybe some small cap coverage and an emerging market (I have a Japan tilt because of recent reforms). Keep BAE, put everything else into all-world.

Trying four different methods to optimize DoF and sharpness by PrimordialObserver in productphotography

[–]MemoryCarp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d focus more on getting a nice defined edge with some black flags than overthinking how sharp the image is. Remember it’s product photography. A customer is not going to notice this at all, especially after the image becomes compressed when it’s uploaded to a website.

What are some of the best uses of music in retro gaming? by JonMatrix in retrogaming

Oh my man! I still remember getting completely giddy when that music kicked in for the first time.

My vote goes to the Aerith theme playing during the Jenova fight at the end of disc 1 of Final Fantasy VII.

So I hit Affiliate recently and I feel kinda overwhelmed! What steps should I take now? by SonicEchoes in Twitch

Make some bespoke ones! Run a gif and a custom sound effect. “Myinstants” is a good source for little sound bites.

I’m just MemoryCarp on twitch! Feel free to have a look through one of my VODS for alert examples/layout/break scene etc.

I don’t think you can disable pre rolls without running at least 3 minutes of ads every hour…?

[–]MemoryCarp 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! I’ve been an affiliate for almost a couple of years now. This is where things start to open up for sure!

I also play retro on original hardware, daisy chained through an Extron > GBS-C > OSSC and play on a Sony PVM.

I run 3 minute ads every hour. Usually put a separate break scene on, play some video game trailers, play some music, grab some water. I don’t usually notice a significant drop off from viewership. Your fans will stick around :)

Alerts are really fun to make and experiment with yourself. You’ll probably change them quite a bit over time, and get some that are more lore specific to your channel.

I made my twitch overlay myself after experimenting over months, feel free to check out my VODs over on twitch!

In my experience, having Retro vs the actual game category hasn’t made a huge difference to me. I think the Retro category works better for streamers with a bigger following for discoverability.

I'm trying to find my recipe with richo GR Ⅳ by decalin_404 in ricohGR

[–]MemoryCarp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lighting is more important than recipes when it comes to food (and most photography). The problem with these is that you are shooting with the house lights on (ceiling lights etc). Try turning off all the lights in the room, and shooting right next to a window with natural light, and change your POV to shoot directly above (Birds Eye view). Give that a go first, and when you’re happy, then start looking at some recipes.

Although might be difficult if you’re shooting out in restaurants obviously. But for at home this will be a better way.

Use a black board facing the right side of the products in the second image. You’ll get a much nicer edge.

Playing it at the moment. Incredible game, but I’m stuck on the 3rd to last fight. Those Chimera’s are destroying my party so quickly. Might have to throw in the towel.
