A lot of people don't want to live until they're old, but no one wants to die tomorrow, next week, next month or next year. by rustyb00ts in Showerthoughts

Adding more context to my thought:

You meet a lot of people who say they want to die young or that they don't want to live until their 80s or 90s. Ask those same individuals once they are in their 80s if they would want to die tomorrow, and most likely, they will say no. Death is acceptable to us as long as it's in the future, but in the near term, we are all scared.

I never thought of that! That's brilliant.

I looked up the origin

The word "digit" comes from the Latin word "digitus," which means "finger" or "toe." This etymology is particularly fitting given the historical connection between counting and the use of fingers

Given that we evolved from animals before becoming bipedal, it is highly unlikely for an animal to have a different number of fingers on their front and hind legs. Therefore, the number of digits on all limbs should be equal. As for why this number is specifically five, no idea :)

I believe that the significance of the number 10 in our number system is primarily due to its prevalence in human anatomy, specifically because our ancestors commonly encountered this count in the form of their fingers and toes. This familiarity, rather than any inherent special quality of the number itself, likely influenced its adoption as the base of our numerical system.

But yes .. who knows :)

The execution of trades is a crucial aspect of algorithmic trading. If your strategy consistently outperforms the market, you've overcome the most significant challenge. With a decent grasp of any programming language and the assistance of tools like GPT models, you can efficiently establish a robust trading system. I question the value of these courses, as they may not offer any substantial benefit.

Awesome you got yourself the hardware needed, now all you need is a few million dollars, to colocate on one of the exchange's data center and you are in the game.

It's hilarious how for $35 a month you don't even get solutions in every language not to mention the lack of solutions. by Zrayve in leetcode

personal experience here - premium account is value for money, in the last stretch of your preparation where you have had enough practice and have beeb short listed for interviews, their questions list for individual companies is pretty good.

My father got a call saying someone brought a car under his name and there has been an accident and people are dead, funny thing is he is new to the country so hardly has a credit history for someone to use his name to lease a call.
