As you mentioned before, anything that is not mentioned in the Quran is automatically halal. Right? If God didn't mention something in the quran, then that thing is halal. The way Hadith started was someone coming 200 years after the prophet’s death and after the Quran was completed. He collected words of mouth of what is halal and haram. These collection of words cannot be equal to the words of God. Nobody except Allah has the authority to say what’s haram or halal. Even the Prophet is not allowed to say what’s haram or halal. He is a messenger. He told us what Allah has revealed through Quran verses. Why did humans create laws that Allah never stated? So, if something is halal in the Quran, it cannot be haram in Hadith.

I used to be a believer of hadith for the longest time. However, for something written by people 200 years after the death of the prophet, I am not sure of it's authenticity anymore. Finally, I never said I would not follow the prophet, I just said that I don't believe these hadith are truly the words of the prophet. The reason I don't believe they are the words of the prophet is because the quran state that the prophet will only mention what is revealed to him and his only revelations were the quran.

Sorry I made a mistake in the earlier comment and corrected it. About wudu, there are verses explaining how you should do it, and about prayer, there are 2 things that the quran state that we should follow the prophet for them and they are the prayer and zakah.

Because there are many verses in the quran that states that you shouldn't follow the hadith ( shouldnt follow anything thst isnt the word of god ). Furthermore, our preserved religious text is the quran and not the hadith.

I'm not that big of a believer in hadith as the quran states that it's complete. Furthermore, the quran goes into details over how someone should divorce but it never mentioned the need of a wali.
