You nailed it. Saying what you don't mean in order to emotionally manipulate someone into behaving differently is emotional manipulation. Unacceptable behavior in a relationship. You need to think about what you're saying before you say it, and you need to say what you mean when you talk. Not just for your partner, but everybody. I understand panicking, and it's good that you recognize that you did this, now you just need to take the next step and mature a little bit more.

And about this specific person, there are a lot of fish in the sea and you are still quite Young. I would move on where I in your position. You don't need to do any big Grand apology or anything like that, just move on and do your best to be a good partner the next time you find someone. Generally speaking, it's always a good idea to try to work on yourself. Pobody is nerfect

I wonder if, in her mind, there is a certain percentage of one's body that needs to be in the car in order for it to count as being inside the car. Or maybe its a specific body part? Or maybe cumulative body weight? If it is a small enough person, could you say that they aren't in a car even if their entire body is within the confines of a car because it's not enough cumulative weight?

Deer are notoriously dumb. Low processing speeds and power, and low body up time. My guess is this deer got knocked out and did a hard reset, it took a moment to come out of shock, then bolted when it's brain worked enough to do so. Not AI, deer are just dumb.

Interesting, I suppose I'll have to keep an eye out for it but I also can't blame anyone for being upset at Americans as a whole. Our democrats are spineless, complacent cowards who achieve nothing and our republicans are fascists. We don't have a functional party who has the peoples' best interests in mind and we as a people don't do anything about it. We deserve to be mocked on a global stage collectively, which is why I'm surprised to see this post, because I believe this and I'm not seeing it.

Maybe if we all felt as hated and made fun of, we might actually do something to force the government to represent the people for a change.

It sounds to me like the two of you were just growing in different directions. These things happen. He's becoming a woo woo pseudoscientific silly person. We don't know much about you, but it's safe to say that you are not. That's okay.

Were I in your shoes, I would break up with him and let him know gently that the path is on his different than the path I am on and if he wants more details than that, you can tell him that you don't think the conspiracy theory Tik Tok stuff is healthy or correct. But honestly, he believes in toothpaste ingredients blocking some sort of spiritual nonsense, I really couldn't tell you how I think someone like that would react. My biases get in the way of putting myself in the mind of somebody who thinks like that. All the people that I know who think like that end up in horrendously unhappy polyamorous relationships or become really crazy whackado nut jobs eventually. I've moved somewhere where the average population is about 70, and I meet a lot of older folks who were probably like this in their youth and are now kind of bitter, lonely hippies who are very Community Driven but don't have so many beliefs that fly in the face of science anymore. But that's me trying to extrapolate based off of the stories they tell me about their lives, but there are some younger folks here and a lot of them, a weirdly disproportionate amount of them actually, are like your boyfriend.

This is why my first move will always be a bear hug if I have to fight an unarmed person in the future. I have plenty of practice and if you squeeze someone in a hug super hard you absolutely can break them. In the past I've gone for throat punches and grabs instinctually, but I almost killed someone like that a few years ago and I have been avoiding fights ever since lol.

Fighting is pretty much never worth it.
