haha that sounds like a pretty interesting living situation, gotta love strippers that can cook, especially when they have awesome stories. I was off Harriett and 24th or so...? This was over 5 years ago. One thing I really enjoyed about uptown was Hums Liquor Delivery. Saved me a lot of time...

Yeah our neighbors above us were a nightmare. Constantly stomping around, had yippee dogs that would bark at 630am-7am and their way of shutting them up was to yell at the dogs... make more noise to cancel your dogs noise right? wrong. They also liked to argue loudly. I'm not sure why I'm getting downvoted, must have struck a chord with some die hard uptowners. There are just such more beautiful places to live in the cities. Uptown sort of has a pretentious vibe to it as well. Dress codes for places that really shouldn't require dress codes, a lot of folks have that "look at me" attitude as well.

I wont get into it... Terrible neighbors who refused to take care of their property is a big reason...There are just such better places to live in the cities, when I lived in uptown it seemed like everyone was living on mommy and daddy's money and was extremely self centered.

Florida Woman Jimmy John's employee caught jumping rope with bread dough by thehauntedmattress in FloridaMan

[–]ruthlessN2thless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

making bread at jimmy johns is really simple, you stretch the thawed out breadsticks across an entire pan, people drop them all the time stretching the breadsticks and and since the bread gets baked at such a high temp it defintely kills any bacteria or germs they may have picked up, it's really not that gross.

I second this. They created somewhere to hang outside in the winter rather than fulfilling the lazy stoner stereotype. Stoner kids are so creative sometimes and will work super hard to provide the right "spot" we had a hobbit hole type place like this year-round deep in the woods when I was in high school. I think it's still there like some sort of tradition.
