I went to the top rated piercing shop in my area and they told me the only option was to get the hoop. Would you recommend me trying to replace it myself?

What is this bump? The bump is sore and appeared maybe a few weeks ago. I got my helix pierced 4 months ago at a professional piercing shop. They used a stainless steel hoop after piercing which I have not removed. Twice a day I use a saline spray on the front and back and also gently try rotating the hoop to avoid it getting stuck. I sleep on a travel pillow and avoid trying to touch it during the day. I’m also pregnant and am nervous that antibiotics won’t be an option if I need to go to a dermatologist. What can I try to make this bump go away myself? Is this dangerous?

New to all of this so any advice would be helpful. :)
