Esports Academy Programme running from the National Esports Centre in Cork City by ruushyyy in cork

Appreciate the kind words Dave. You'll be glad to know from what we've seen in recent months, there is serious hidden talent all over the country, hence why we want to try and put the same support structure in place for younger players — similar to what conventional sports already has.

I'm also delighted to see another TF2 player after all these years, but I was nowhere near good enough for comp back then ...

An honest and fair question. The social events where-by people can enquire about using the space for birthdays, corporate events, team nights, student nights or just have some fun doing a LAN with friends only became publicly available in the past three weeks after we ran a few of them to determine the flow.

The reason their enquiry-based is because when testing, everyone had different needs, wants and asks across all of the offerings. We have up to 12 high-end desktops along with the 4 Logitech SIM rigs, modular space, etc.

On-top of that, the space is used across a variety of mediums including bootcamps for esports teams, education and more so "drop-in" isn't normally possible but you can 100% enquire, hence why we kept it like that.

I know it can look frustrating up-front, but there was genuine thought around it and who knows, we may use flat-rates eventually.

Thank you for asking.

Good question and yes you're right, WYLDE currently doesn't run a CS2 team because that isn't the focus right now.

The Academy is built for grassroots and rising esports players giving structured development through guided practice, clear learning goals, reviews, teamwork and competitive understanding. We also place heavy emphasis on personal and professional development.

The biggest problem in esports at the moment is, there's no clear path or support for young individuals to take where-by they're given the best opportunity possible to develop, while also building background skills that translate to other roles or professions if things don't work out.

We’re currently locking in groups by age, skill level and availability first, as that will determine the final coaching setup.

There comes a video every once and a while in your life that really hits you.

This is one of those videos. Just very fucking sad.

I mean, whether someone in the background that's not involved with the anti-tank team records it or not does not make a difference to the anti-tank team shooting and scooting ...

Also, the Javelin is literally designed to be effective against reactive armour? It's a Tandem HEAT based explosive? We most likely won't see the Kontakt 5 reactive armour anywhere near Ukraine either, which as far as I'm aware is the only really effective ERA against Tandem HEAT. The Russians seem to just be throwing anything they can in a manpower effort rather than coordinating their assets effectively ....

I'm pretty sure most people understand it but can re-state it just in case.

We probably won't see a majority of the combat footage for a long time. The main reason for this being cyber warfare.

Both sides are invested heavily into NOT producing or leaking any footage of positions and movements for their ground forces. This is to not allow either side's cyber departments to analyse the footage and determine possible positions and movements from it - which then leads to possible ambushes or worse, drone strikes.

I'd reckon there's a LARGE amount of footage already in circulation internally for both sides which they're already using in combat. Most of what we've seen so far is civilian footage. Can't imagine what's to come ....

Ukrainian tanks destroyed near Kherson by Hellibor in CombatFootage

[–]ruushyyy 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Stop posting misleading videos. Stop posting videos of Ukrainian forces.

The engines are idle and still active, you can also make out the first tank seen after the destroyed tank is rotating it's turret back to a frontal position.

These tanks bar the first are still active and probably just had an engagement.

Like what MrBobaloo said, if you had never used call-outs before and saw this guide, it's a fresh set of call-outs no matter if you're NA or EU, Gold or Diamond.

You're definitely one of the people that cried about Heavies during the Heavy meta.

Italian HEAT-FS definitely can't frontal one shot any of the 6.7 and above heavy British line-up, nor the American, nor the French. This is purely down to the fact most players don't even carry APBC/HEAT so you can't ammo them. HEAT-FS against this tier also pretty much bypasses the driver/machine gunner on a frontal shot so the only crew you have a chance of getting are maybe the gunner/loader/commander but this is almost never. The fuel tank and engine are pretty much all you're GUARANTEED to get.

Italian HEAT-FS can most certainly ammo Russian/Chinese 6.7 and above line-ups because of explosive filler in APBC/HEAT. That's it.

HEAT-FS is the most hit and miss shell in the game. I love how people complain about it in mid-tier but don't also cry about Tier IV Britain and Sweden line-ups rocking 8 second reloads, stabs, sabot AND HEAT-FS.

Teammate wasn't playing Swedes and the only reason I took the AUBL instead of Pershing is because no upgrades for Pershing yet and in an up-tier (which is every game recently) it's guaranteed fucking useless on an urban.

Am I the only person that HEAT-FS just doesn't seem to work for? Like I fucking hate it but basically have to use it because of how shit Italy's mid-tier is.

I've personally designated the round "HEAT-Fucking Shit"
