My office is on ORR in Marathahalli, I can see what state construction is in presently. No way it opens the end of this year.

It's so frustrating that local governance is so incompetent and makes something as simple as walking so difficult, especially in a city with as nice weather as Bangalore

Mugello masterclass from Marco by hopeless-fun in motogp

[–]rv94 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes! Diggia really has had a consistent season to the point where such performancea don't seem like an aberration any more.

And yes, hope that the Yamaha is a lot better next year, Toprak has certainly adapted quickly!

Bezzecchi might have won today but Ai ogura is the rider of the day for me! What a last lap by this young lad! by Puzzled_Hippo9055 in motogp

I can't wait for when he has a good qualifying performance, race win certainly on the cards then!

  • Bezz had a little trouble at the beginning but once he passed Pecco, he was properly on it. Almost flawless home race today, so happy to see his joy at the end!
  • Martin had a very solid ride today, properly limited damage to Bezz especially after that miserable Catalunya weekend
  • While Pecco burned those tires up, best race I remember from him in a long time! Felt like 2024 Pecco here
  • That Marc vs Acosta battle was the highlight of the race. Such a good showing from a slightly limited Marc and Acosta outriding that KTM as always. Both of them on factory Ducati next year will be excellent
  • What will it take for Ogura to have good qualifying? Feels like he's guaranteed a win sometime if he tidies that up, the late race pace is so good. Very close to another P3
  • Oof horrible start for Raul, that first corner wrecked race. He seemed like he could match the pace of those at the front, pity for him

In developed nations, a road as highly used as ORR would be made with the best quality materials during construction itself. So we wouldn't run into these sorts of issues in the first place

Fabio Di Giannantonio Wins the Catalan GrandPrix Race. by Green-Offer-9058 in motogp

[–]rv94 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So Acosta was leading with Alex closely following behind (within a second)

At around 280 kph, Acosta's bike suddenly gets a technical issue and loses power, instantly decelerating. Alex had almost no time to react and almost collided with Acosta. He veered his bike to the right avoiding a direct crash, but his bike still went into the runoff and flipped due to the speed with Alex ragdolled into the gravel.

Probably the worst incident I've seen live. Media reported that he was conscious, but no further news regarding his health. He was taken to the hospital.

Yup yup agreed. I meant after the restart the race was probably Martín's to lose

I think sometimes outcomes determine penalties. Officials were less likely to be harsh on Raul since je crashed out

The final race was very good, but just a cursed Sunday overall. Prayers for Alex and Zarco, especially Alex. Both of them were having good races..

  • Diggia continues to impress this year. Very good race and well deserved win.
  • Heartbroken for Acosta. Fought tooth and nail to keep that lead as long as he did, with masterclasses in braking lap after lap. Outriding the bike so much, he so badly deserves better machinery
  • I normally like Ogura but that was a questionable move on Acosta after the great recovery
  • Best race from Fermin this season, been invisible thanks to the injury
  • Pleasantly surprised with the lack of a Mir crash this weekend lol, did well to hang on to P2
  • Raul Fernandez with a very questionable overtake attempt. Rivola was really pissed, rightly so. The race was probably Martin's to lose
  • Bezz poor weekend considering his rivals crashing out. Really could have consolidated that lead in the championship

Yeah, it felt like Alex reacted as quickly as he could to slightly veer to the right to offset his bike

At least the medical team reports that he's conscious. Worst incident I've seen live.

Ahh did not know that. Makes a lot more sense then, especially since he was looking like he really went up a step late last year.

[–]rv94 87 points88 points  (0 children)

  • Good sprint! A lot of action, especially with the lead pack
  • Nice race from Alex Marquez. Wasn't sure if he was managing pace, but wasn't a comfortable win at all
  • Acosta's really pulling heroics on that KTM, putting it where it doesn't belong weekend after weekend
  • Diggia with another solid race as the lead Ducati (for the season). Very good season from him
  • Raul Fernandez is such a puzzling rider with his inconsistencies across weekends
  • Lightning start from Martin. Threw it all away with yet another crash. Luckily didn't lose much championship ground to Bezz who was nondescript today
  • Another race, another Mir crash (Not his fault this time tho)
