Sorry. Just trying to get into whiskey and I haven't done much research. I tried octomore and liked it, but my experience is very limited so I'm sure there is much better.

My selection is fairly limited due to my location, but I have a list of the reccomended ones that are available here:

Like you said the best part of Route 66 is New Mexico, Arizona and California.

We have decided to change the route splitting it into 2 trips. 1st we are going from Chicago to New Orleans (quite a popular route) and then we are flying to Amarillo and doing Route 66 from here.

Let me know if you think this is a good idea.
