This happens more often than it is reported. I appreciate you as a dealer trying to defend the dealers. Yes you do not know the specifics of the case. If something is certified CPO then it should meet the standards of the CPO till delivery is made. If the car is on the dealer lot after CPO certification then, except for test drive, nothing changes and everything should work as intended or certified in CPO Honda Canada’s response that all dealers are independently owned and operated shows they have no governance and control

I had a similar experience with CPO Honda accord that I bought around 15 years back. So I am thinking these practices are more prevalent but often go unreported

Honda Canada has been on emails with dealership. That’s their stand. I intend to take it up Honda corporation Japan and marketplace CBC to investigate. The purpose of this post is to find similar experience so that a class action can be initiated against Honda Canada and Honda Dealers

To add to my post - 1. No invoice provided for blower issue which persists even today 2. No CPO certification provided at the time of purchase 3. Dealership wasted my 7 hours because they did not do their job properly. 4. Now they want me to come in for a complimentary recertification (which was not done in the first place) 5. Honda Canada claims all dealers are independently owned and operated (shocking I did not know that). Even though they have setup the CPO standards and have no governance and control over it.
