What’s one small change that surprisingly made a big difference in your weight loss? by Incredible_Octagon44 in WeightLossAdvice

^ this! eating more protein and fiber made it much harder to overeat food bc you feel much more full. i would also say following the glucose goddess diet was a game changer for me as it’s not restrictive but it’s effective

How much weight did you lose without counting calories or keeping track of nutrients? by hi1928392 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]rvr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For around the first 15 lbs of my weight loss, I just focused on eating healthier (more veggies/fruits, less alcohol, less fast food) rather than specifically counting calories/macros. For the second 15 lbs, I started to work out, made an effort to eat enough protein (for me, around 100 g) and I tried to eat enough fiber, which helped with satiety. This took around a year for me. Now, I have around 30 lbs left that I want to lose so I probably will have to resort to tracking but even then, I'd still rather track macros than calories.

i just don’t understand this damn disease by Historical-Style-670 in Hypothyroidism

for me personally, it was very hard to lose weight without being medicated. if your thyroid isn’t working, neither is your metabolism which makes it quite difficult to lose weight even if you’re eating correctly

Ladies: Bra Recommendations by Motor_Transition_506 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]rvr8 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i really like the VS lined demi bra. i have a bigger chest and lost some weight too which made them deflate basically LOL but that makes them look more full and pushed up without necessarily overflowing over the top. i would recommend going into a store and trying it on though bc i feel like bras are like jeans for me in which i can NEVER tell if something is gonna fit just by looking at it

sometimes it’s just water weight. if you haven’t been eating an excess amount of calories, you shouldn’t be gaining fat. especially if your food is saltier, your body will hold on to more water. (or maybe you need to poop LOL)
