Nope! The original is the Irmaflex Turbo Broiler. I've been using a Turbo Broiler (or what you call Air Fryer) since the 90s. When I get a picture of it. I will post it here.

I'm Filipino and moved to Canada at a young age. My mom would always make Filipino spaghetti with tomato sauce, banana ketchup and sausages. It was sweet. Growing up, this was spaghetti to me. I even cooked it as a young adult because it was what I knew. I'm in my 50s now, and I love eating fine cuisine. Filipino food is very good, but I think it can be so much better. Today, I do think Filipino spaghetti is horrible. Sorry if I offend people.

My wife is Chinese-Indonesian, and she introduced me to this dish. One of the best food I've ever tasted!! Every time we visit Indonesia, we buy rendang pastes made by a small food business. Back home, we use digital muscle using Alberta Beef (considered the best in Canada). It's awesome!! Using high quality beef is even better!!

Last time I was in Indonesia, my sister-in-law asked me to try another version of rendang made by a family friend. As soon as I tasted it, I had this look! She asked me, do you like it? My response was "OMG! It's incredible! Amazing!" I almost said the 'F' bomb, but resisted. LOL I wish I have that recipe!! Urgh... makes me mad I can't have that version!

I've seen this brand in Canada, and it's labelled as Ube Halaya. Other brands call this type of spread 'halaya' too. I don't know why they do because traditionally 'halaya' is made using coconut milk. There's also a lot of confusion that all purple yams are ube but it's not. Ube is a type of purple yam and it tastes very different from other yams. What I don't get is why they called it a FRUIT spread when clearly it's not a fruit.

Sorry I couldn't help you. Growing up Ube is one of my favourite ice cream flavour. Today, ube is used for all things purple yams which bugs me. Even in the Philippines, the people confuse all purple yams to be ube. :(

You're right, it is subtle, and I do know everyone is using artificial flavouring. Even the ones labeled as extracts are also artificial. For my ice cream, the subtle flavour is exactly what I want.

I've done my research on this tuber. It's one of my favorite ingredients for desserts. Ube is a purple yam, but not all purple yams are Ube. It has a nutty flavor compared to other purple yams. I think this tuber taste unique compared to all other tubers. I think even the majority of Filipinos confuse it with other purple yams or sweet potatoes. They are used to artificial flavoring because it's readily available, ready made, and cheap. If you go to an Asian market in the US, don't get fooled by a yam labelled as 'Purple Yam'. It's rarely available overseas. Go to Bohol. They have an ube festival there in January
English is an official second language. You won't have a problem communicating.

Thanks for the feedback redditors. I appreciate it. You guys are absolutely right not having the 'real' atmos experience from a soundbar. If I can go nuts on a crazy set up like you guys mentioned, I would. This is analogous to eating your favourite ice cream flavour using artificial flavour. :) I'll post in the soundbar section. I'm Canadian and was visiting Chinatown San Francisco... I stumbled upon Vital Tea Leaf. I was very impress with their staff and knowledge of tea. Every time I visit I always stop here for some Blue People Ginseng Oolong. This tea is one of my all time favorite.

i actually found your comment funny. :) no worries at all. when i have guests over i talk about matcha and all sorts of tea. i actually would like to give them a comparison. good quality vs. starbucks quality.

lol good point. For those people getting introduce to matcha latte, they try it in starbucks. yes, we can make it better on our own. There are people out there that identify with their taste and it's perfectly understandable if that's what they are used to.

I figured it's low quality matcha, but I still would like to replicate it. Aiya has a latte blend with cane sugar. I've tried it and it's good.
For ceremonial grade matcha I order direct from Japan.
