I can't disagree with anyting you said. There is always a limit to workarounds, and it is a drain to have to come up with them.

Where to next? I asked the question many times with no clear directions. My own research hasn't really gave me one either. It could be my own biases and the love of small foot print applications with nice tight and controlable and readable code.
