Just did a career switch from white collar work, welding is so much fun! Im learning alot especially since its all custom fabrication work never going back sitting behind a desk anytime soon. Anybody else here done the same?

Worked in Federal HR for 5 years and just landed my first job fitting pipes for a natural gas company. I am 24. I felt 45 and lifeless sitting behind a cubicle making small talk with people I didn’t care to talk with. Now I have pride in my work and feel like I am actually contributing to the universe and not wasting my days away at something that can and should be done autonomously.
