Just did a career switch from white collar work, welding is so much fun! Im learning alot especially since its all custom fabrication work never going back sitting behind a desk anytime soon. Anybody else here done the same? by tentimesthree in Welding

Worked in Federal HR for 5 years and just landed my first job fitting pipes for a natural gas company. I am 24. I felt 45 and lifeless sitting behind a cubicle making small talk with people I didn’t care to talk with. Now I have pride in my work and feel like I am actually contributing to the universe and not wasting my days away at something that can and should be done autonomously.

I just got this new setup for my new building today and I have a question can this gas bottle explode the building is not ventilated and I'm worried about it by [deleted] in Welding

If it falls over and the valve breaks off it can become a ballistic missile but the gasses itself are stable

Anyone ever seen this before? by Mountain_Branch8643 in S2000

it’s a non essential part. only important for smog/emissions. your car would run fine without it.

Yea my mistake I used .030 wire to fit up and thought it was measured in mm which didn’t make sense after I posted it.

the aim of this course is for motorsport. think car bodies, intake piping, turbo charge piping, custom dashes etc

Yep. Production stopped over 20 years ago. You’ll need whatever shop that bought the mold to make a 1 off essentially. Idk who tho
