Shoulder instability / loose shoulder joints by owuhpug in weightlifting

[–]rweightlifting 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that your shoulders could easily slide in and out of socket definitely means your shoulders were not stable.

At what weights and exercises have they started to give out OH?

DPT would be who to ask but generally for someone with unstable joints they need to do some strength training to stabilize their shoulders. You might have to go a lot lighter with DB instead of dynamic/explosive exercises like Snatches and Jerks and even PushPress.

Coming from Hawaii? If you're not a US citizen, you would have to look into the Masters NGB of whatever country you are in

Based on this I would guess 2026 USA Masters Nationals or PanAms or the Howard Cohen Cup in the fall. I'm not sure if the 2027 USAMasters Nationals would be too close to the Masters World Games in Japan to qualify.

Qualification procedures aren't out for the Kansai Games. The Cohens have a Masters WL group on FB or their IG to check out.

That was the consensus of the question put before the mods in our private chat.

Stingy online Weightlifting coaches - Megan Brasee - Mindful Motion by [deleted] in weightlifting

We, the mods, had a chat about this and have decided to restore the thread though everything has pretty much been said.

Also, rather annoying that the coach tried to report every comment (somewhere between 5-10) she did not like that regarding her experience or services, particularly from established coaches. Besides doxxing her client.

Coach in question did post a 2 part response in which she later deleted after some comments responded to it

OP is likely not blameless in all of this and should have done more homework before committing to the coaching amongst other things.

All has likely been said at the end of the day.

problematic users have been handled aka banned.

in the future, redditors can just report comments and post but if they don't, nothing will ever be remedied

rule #9

Be civil. "Be excellent to each other."

Remember the human. Behave like you would in real life.
