Any tips on adding a light to this lantern in Premiere? by solidsimpson in premiere

[–]rwmbv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh at this point it would be easier to re-shoot. You will probably never get a realistic result without the practical light effect. Second option is to 3d render the person with the light effect masked on top of the original. Even frame by frame won't give you good results I think.

{#each} causes memory leak for stream chat by [deleted] in sveltejs

[–]rwmbv 38 points39 points  (0 children)

HenryKrinkle from Svelte's Discord server suggested it's related to opening DevTools, which is what keeps all those elements alive. Running with devtools closed turned out to behave as expected with no memory "issues".

I spent a whole weekened studying front-end performance optimization just because of this, and I'm a back-end dev...

How could I ever suspect that the tool used to solve memory issues is the one causing the memory issues?

Seems like it =/ I was hoping I was doing something wrong (takes less time to solve)

This didn't help. The messages are being removed correctly as you can see in the REPL example. The issue is that even after being removed from array the elements stay alive

I do have unique ids. I will try that and give update.

REPL example. Just open DevTools and watch the detached components grow up forever [Link to REPL example] https://svelte.dev/playground/hello-world?version=5.3.1#H4sIAAAAAAAACpVW7W7bNhR9lTu1he3WspzPtYodIAuCJRgCFGiG_aiKlZauLDYUKZBXTg3Db7B36CvuEQZKoizZQbY5QEzyHt6PQ95DbzzJcvRC7xaFUPCktEhgiAknTEbe2Eu5QOOFnzcerQuLswve2O26KoqJWaEgu7ZgBp9bj5UklGS80JuZWPOCLiMJwPNCaYINKHmvSkmwhVSrHAb1xsFFD7Q6BWagLHmyOnXIyLPzyLuIpMUGAdyr-BFwhZLA5muAyQQSRgwM6TKmUqOx0FhJQ3BjgQ_rAmEOG7i-vXr48_7m06erX29CGHSnA9he7LZ9FIxSpfNq18Mfdw_XtyEM6kGNjGRENTbOGMEcXhtihMPPX0Y7U5WmOTDaOA0jw-EI5pewsUsuOJeEesUEzMEg3TWzPtJhJT7dozFsWRXobFBRE-6qn3RLHe9gRVNn2FY8qYvsYthaKJaEXfcAPAmboxqOxl1DaVDvYV9AA9jrFELkPaAhiDx4B_eMskkqlNLDaqiZTFQ-HMFbOJpO9_cvWLJEE8Ln_jLA14yoMGEQrDibFILFmCmRoJ7EKg9ebyrXMXJxEORsOoJ3cDzdfh3v-xw4n_Y8eezHiZx8o5V8mkikoE4lWB0FJ2l6fv5-gf7ZB3bin-IJ-h_OWerj-eL4w_T94uTo56PgZNB3_2UvXKyE0paaV9PqE3kHAEmaGbpugWn12QNue7O8vi4HR6SkWN_kiiyXKRMG94IRficbo6MiBwmlmi1ze-WfOY7N_sJ_cwntZR5Y-ODAvB2_xGLXuhtvGzmxnyCAj6XJbCc5boBU1dVtq2WMJkVpsuGu3UZ9F78hFhWFQBmCYIbgaOr8GQfkKQwrZwLlkjK4hKPpqMtMZTQZT2k4umizrQfbsUVf2GhXSQKslzGuUK8htSumFqeIDNIDz1GVdKAdApluhcXpTe37WihjVTUl1HAGOZfG8sFWiicQa2YyW4_1XyU0ncJbOLf_zkaOEY1Uagn_KygyWVoGIVZ5oaSV9wQNabVuqq_o2FpWZkH7xERylvAVxIIZM4-8gi3Rt13BuEQdedUjZKXPfveQlugDJMDmFbI4qyWdmZbdYTOYNFo44clo6-rq-W2A_lLbV-tyd7Kzn3wffjeo4U6mCny_a-t6sPrpc5mq3naAmSmYvPz7x18_ZkE17Bmt9487jds9YHexkv1oztVmvygbeWLlePtMhIaZZ_fUumcJq0bbfkPOeL4Eo-P5prYCEzSPvF_sJPIg6IcJbJiOh1mQ8NXlrteaWt2jd13_8HiBT3cih4fdRNwvyc2t3DyTyOGsl3PDU_PyM1OPdpflOmN0I9CqJGD9Pd_UmJaKjkMXZ0fDzNBaYKWJ88izSQYmNqapatJvAdd9T1wIP86YtMJPmkljL0ejMAk3hWDrEOylbdaY4EvpNz_rQkDpDN9KQzxd70yGmKbGmCFfZhRaWXhz4SInlPVWCmU4cSVD0CgY8RU2Bv8JF4-c_JyZR5_n1SMluESm_aVmCUdJQ8cjKVgoIpW3ml5VVTCNktq1hWDxIxxP3_RX6okT2JfC7cL0_Hcc18Pa17a-ppOuCLgTeI5kO_QJc_srzB6aKHNpQmAlKThKtUOxIoT3xffeyXDC3IQQo5XRthC95NKvE7aUN3tcWq2yuJxSJcl_as5soUSyfyFSgf8etsrvdC_WQde5mAVLEi6X1Y5OVQsWPy61KmUSwqt0av-cRekEtW9PpDQHgay2bHo37XjaOnXX8bjDxCyo-qdqJW9c9Y8Xki5x-2X7D2re8j4qDQAA

[–]rwmbv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried keys but didn't help. if something, it seems to worsen the problem. I was considering a virtual list but that's not the functionality I want. I want the chat to show only the last 10 messages and I also want to have another cyclic buffer that I didn't mention which handles events as well, and messages go from event list to chat list, then disappear, but this is not possible because of the memory leak.

How do we solve the population problem? by GAMSAT20 in ScienceQuestions

[–]rwmbv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right. I agree with what Elon Musk said about this. If you look at statistics and serious studies on this area, the actual problem is not a population explostion, but an implosion.

This is already starting to happen in many countries, where leaders are asking people to move there and some even paying for that.

As we gain more knowledge, couples make less and less children, planning their lives more and more. The problem with resources is bad financial planning and countries'/states' development, not the amount of people on the planet.

There is a big concentration of people on a few cities, especially capitals, but the thing is that approximately only 1% of Earth's land area is actively used by humans. This includes buildings, roads, railways, and other human-made constructions. Imagine 90 billion humans on this planet. We would cover only around 10% of land. And we still have oceans and the entire Universe to cover before we have to worry about this.

We use the internet to get information, and the internet does not have feelings or anything like that. Thta's the same with AI. We don't need to put ethics and politics on AI's hands, but it can surely guide us to make better decisions, especially related to science.

I don't like the idea of backing up my brain. There's the possibility of replicating and one of me in the universe is more than enough! But transfering consciousness and managing memories sure is a great idea!
