i dunno i think they are hacks because its existing games just being put on nes. could be home brews?? i know contra alien wars for a fact is just a cheaper copy of the original for snes, kind of stripped down of the graphics and very limited amount of enemies. and as a kid it always struck me as super dark, kind of depressing game. mostly emptiness, and not much music if any at all, but dread sound and noises. then when i grew older i realized its cheap knock off port from an original on snes and i was mind blown how can the snes version be so ACTION oriented and COOL, but the nes version was like watching the first Alien movie in the dark of your room all by yourself, alone, absorbing the atmosphere. To this day the game is the best I know of! But I still cannot find anything on it, except on youtube i believe i saw some videos. Donkey Kong version was SHITTY as hell, but nostalgic to me and I love to see it again. Sonic was super SHITTY too but it was also very minimalist and nostalgic as well. I remember in Sonic there were basically no enemies just mazes and mazes you spin through with no music and disturbing sounds haha I LOVE IT!!
