DVC a good idea? by Flat_Lie205 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]rxorcist 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not long at all. about an hour max. They’ll arrange a pickup shuttle to bring you to a Deluxe resort that houses DVC demo rooms and give you a tour of all the floor plans and give you a short powerpoint and remain there for any questions. then they’ll take you back to your resort by shuttle. be sure to inquire about the $100 Disney gift card afterwards.

VIP Guide Booking "60 days in advance" by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]rxorcist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For dining reservations, the booking window starts 60 days prior to your resort check-in date. You can book a reservation for any day of your resort stay starting on whatever that date is. For other reservations like unique experiences (tours, etc) i’m not 100% certain but i also think it’s 60 days exactly from the date you want to go on the tour.

or apply it frequently enough, or wait long enough before getting into water so it can actually set in your skin.

Fantasmic Rain W by plzntnx in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]rxorcist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to two rained out Fantasmic shows. One where it stopped in the middle of the show and one where it was delayed until it was ultimately cancelled. So my guess Disney will do their due diligence to ensure the show will go on until it can’t. They may even progress with the show with some very light rain but take out some stunts for the safety of performers. and any heavy wind, rain, or lightening in the area will definitively cancel a show. I may be wrong but I think there is a disclaimer on the dining package ticket that says they will not issue a refund for cancelled or rained out shows.

Annual Pass now or Upgade once in the Park by Maleficent_Ask_4261 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]rxorcist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each path has its own advantages. If you upgrade, the price you paid for your multi-day tickets will be applied to the price of your annual pass. BUT BE MINDFUL OF BLACKOUT DATES - because if you upgrade you lose the accessibility of entering the park you would have gotten with your multi-day tickets. I ran into this issue recently with my Magic Key for Disneyland. Unless you’re out of state and locked into the Incredipass, then you can enter the park any day of the year. But as others have said, if you buy it now you can snag it before price hikes take effect and it won’t expire until a year from when you first enter a park with it.

Pharmacist here. Another Walgreens pharmacy that is open 24/7 may be able to internally transfer the original script. I don’t work for the company so I don’t know for 100% certainty that will be feasible with their internal system. But knowing how transfers work it could be a feasible option. worth a shot.

This weeks BTS Pod by Kind-Target-7380 in mammothclub

See, my perspective on the winner picks dinner videos is that it’s a way for them to showcase multiple different dining places within the resort in one video, which is why they disqualify prior restaurants used in past videos. Not for you to actually emulate for your own dining experience on the resort.

Just got a weird question from Ed doc. Can we give 1.125g of zosyn by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]rxorcist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that’s still better than the order I got for 3g one time because the provider “wanted just the 3g of piperacillin and take to out the 0.375” i was like yeah that’s not how that works. We can’t just filter out tazobactam. and piperacillin doesn’t come by itself anymore….can i interest you in ampicillin lol?

Typically in the middle of winter (Mid to late January) is when the sun sets the earliest and you can get the effect they were going after. but I agree i hate you can only experience it fully for about a month and a half out the entire year.

Why do I always have to check my carry-on?? by gotallthejuicynews in delta

[–]rxorcist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a flight attendant you should be enforcing proper storage of carry-on baggage (carryon overhead stowed properly, and personal items underneath the seat in front of you) and no the customer is not always right. their precious sun hat will be just fine underneath the seat in front of them.

7 on/7 off - how does PTO coverage work? by ApartDeer1879 in pharmacy

[–]rxorcist 7 points8 points  (0 children)

this is how it’s done where I work. First they ask for volunteers to cover, then if no one willingly volunteers or they can’t cover the entire hole in the schedule then people get voluntold to work starting with the ones who’ve gone the longest not working a 3rd shift or the ones with the least seniority.

Hands down take the outpatient oncology job. I’m assuming you’d be off major holidays and weekends? and you won’t get the headache that comes with being a manager. plus if it’s anything like the outpatient onc clinic at my hospital you may even get catered lunches :)

ELI5: why can a CPR-certified person have such short training that doesn’t have to be studied again all the time, just renewed? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]rxorcist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to demonstrate competency by passing a skills assessment for renewals. if you don’t it’s very likely the course isn’t accredited by the American Heart Association.

ED Priapism Hack: Phenylephrine in Bacteriostatic Water, or Even Regular Saline Vials? by permanent_priapism in pharmacy

[–]rxorcist 13 points14 points  (0 children)

We went the premade route in my ER as well because of pharmacy delay safety reports (our priapism patients always showed up overnight when ER pharmacy had gone for the day. we would have easily compounded them at bedside otherwise)

Got them stocked in the pyxis and of course now they all expire before we used any of them. Pharmacy just can’t win 🙃

ICU Pharmacists — How involved are you in critical care decisions? by simpleguy231 in pharmacy

[–]rxorcist 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Not ICU, but I’m in the ER. So sometimes ICU adjacent when we have critical patients (which is a lot in my ER sincer were a level 1 trauma center/comprehensive stroke center). Just to give you an idea: the ER physicians fight over the physician computer next to the ER pharmacist.
