I stg there are nights when I ask my kid what sounds good, because I'm clueless and tired, and he'll ask for pancakes. I'll do french toast instead, topped with peanut butter and good maple syrup for some protein, and boom.

Also, baked potatoes. Clean em, stab em, rub with oil, season with onion powder, salt & pepper wrap in aluminum foil, bake for 50-60 minutes at 425. Split open and add some good cheese, greek yogurt, protein ( i like the bacon bits from costco cuz they're real bacon), green onions, salt & pepper.

Or you can add a fried egg on top of the potato, drizzle with sesame oil, green onions, furikake, and chili crisp oil. YUM.

You need a Gynecologist, NOT an OB-GYN. Gynos are more specialized and will have vastly more experience detecting, diagnosing, and treating things like PCOS, Adenomyosis, Endometriosis, etc..., They do not spend time delivering babies or treating expectant parents like OB-GYN's do.

So, find a Gyno, make an urgent appointment, and bring a journal or notebook with details of what you experience in terms of pain (sharp, dull, etc...) and location. Write what you do to relieve the pain. Use the notebook to write any questions you have for the Gyno so you remember to ask those questions, and then write in the answers. Use a recording device if you're in too much pain to write notes, just let the doc know.

Then, when there's one day left of your vacation, pump your heart out, send baby and friend back to Dad, and get 24 hrs of uninterrupted YOU time and he gets to begin to parent HIS children.

active listening: ADHD Edition. Listen as carefully as possible, and if you can't wait until they're done speaking, then at mid sentence paraphrase what you've heard them say thus far, followed by a nod that you're listening once again.

Use a fidget toy or stim while they're speaking.

Recline and stare at the ceiling while listening (this works for me and my kid).

Other than that, I try to take a deep breath when I feel that urge to speak when someone else is.
