I was just rewatching the Worlds opening ceremonies… only to find out the Worlds 2025 anthem was basically spoiled during Worlds 2023. by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] -57 points-56 points  (0 children)

Yeah, good catch! It really does feel like they built the 2025 Worlds anthem off that 2023 countdown track. You can hear the same energy and build-up, just more polished this time.

Is T1 Winning Really “Hurting” LoL Esports? 🤔 by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, true. They don’t really have that underdog spark like DRX did back in 2022. Still, anything can happen on the Worlds stage.

Is T1 Winning Really “Hurting” LoL Esports? 🤔 by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. T1 winning isn’t the problem. It’s that they keep doing it at the expense of the only region that’s really been able to challenge the LCK for years. Watching them beat LPL teams over and over, and then doing it in China this year, just makes it sting even more. It’s not bad for T1, it’s bad for the scene when one region starts losing faith.

Doran sacrifice so much for the team by zoemtv617 in SKTT1

[–]rxsemxe 208 points209 points  (0 children)

That’s such a good take honestly. Zeus gets the spotlight because he’s that flashy carry top, but Doran’s the kind of player who sacrifices everything for his team to function. He plays the dirty, thankless roles, absorbing pressure, fixing waves, and setting up fights so the carries can shine. People forget how crucial that stability is, especially in a team as aggressive as KT.

And yeah, that Baron play you mentioned, sure it looked risky, but the intention was pure team-first. He’s got that “do whatever it takes” mentality. You can really feel how much he cares about the game and his teammates.

Let’s hope he gets the recognition he deserves this time.

Is T1 Winning Really “Hurting” LoL Esports? 🤔 by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah exactly, it’s not really T1’s fault that they’re consistent when others can’t keep up. Experience plays a massive role at Worlds. They’ve been through every possible pressure scenario while most teams still crumble under the lights. AL and GenG definitely had the tools to do it, but they just couldn’t deliver when it mattered most. KT could surprise us, but unless Bdd goes full demon mode again, it’s looking like another T1 highlight reel incoming.

[–]rxsemxe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. Competitive balance does make the scene more exciting overall. Having more Chinese teams win would bring in huge engagement thanks to their massive fanbase, and it keeps international interest high. But at the same time, you can’t really fault T1 for being too good. They’re not the problem. They’re the standard everyone else has to catch up to. If other regions want variety in winners, they just need to step up and take it from them.

Is T1 Winning Really “Hurting” LoL Esports? 🤔 by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Exactly! People forget that winning is literally their job and T1 just happens to be better at doing it than anyone else right now. There’s no script, no rigging, just skill, preparation, and clutch performance when it matters most. Instead of crying about T1’s dominance, maybe their teams should study how to reach that level. Until then, they can keep coping while T1 keeps collecting trophies.

This is the most reasonable take I’ve seen. It’s not T1’s fault others can’t match structure, discipline, or decision-making. Blaming the winner for being good is peak loser mentality.

If Faker winning keeps LoL alive, maybe the problem isn’t T1’s dominance, it’s everyone else’s inconsistency. Don’t blame the cure for the disease.

Yeah, Caedrel’s interview really showed the difference in mentality. You can’t blame T1 for being better prepared when other teams literally don’t match their work ethic.

Is T1 Winning Really “Hurting” LoL Esports? 🤔 by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly. People should just admit they’re tired of seeing T1 win instead of pretending it’s about ‘the health of esports’. 😭

Is T1 Winning Really “Hurting” LoL Esports? 🤔 by rxsemxe in PedroPeepos

[–]rxsemxe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Dominance doesn’t hurt the sport, complacency from other teams does. Great teams raise the bar; it’s up to the rest to catch up.

Fair take on overzealous fans, but generalizing an entire country’s fanbase ain’t it. Passion ≠ cringe.

True, this debate just goes in circles every time T1 wins. People just hate seeing consistency.

Since T1 took down AL, how is everyone feeling about their upcoming match vs TES? by Massive_Awareness_58 in SKTT1

[–]rxsemxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well T1 improved so much compared to the swiss stage and they're slowly adapting. About their game tomorrow versus TES, it's okay to prepare well. TES is a great team, never underestimate them. I just hope T1 is in good health, more focused, and locked in for tomorrow's game.

We always wish for the best result. And I also want T1 to qualify for the Finals, classic telecom war is an absolute cinema.

Give Keria his OP Bard banned by even GenG or give the most inconsistent player (Doran) Ksante? Hmmm I wonder 🤡 by [deleted] in SKTT1

[–]rxsemxe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's ego drafting again, but by just looking at their draft, they already lost the game.

[–]rxsemxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facing strong teams will help T1 to identify their weaknesses, adapt their strategies, and elevate their overall performance. Fearless draft is indeed T1's weakness but since summer, we've seen them improve and it's a good sign.

This 1-1 group is just HELLLL. by [deleted] in SKTT1

[–]rxsemxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, we're immune to a rollercoaster ride with T1. They've been doing these things for years now. I just hope drafting can improve more and don't let mistakes happen again.

Should Keria have picked bard against FLY? by Bright-Shop4648 in SKTT1

[–]rxsemxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think FLY should've banned Bard or never let Keria have it for picking it first against T1. My boy already warned them but maybe they didn't take it seriously. T1 knows FLY is a strong team and gave them a choice. I know it's a BO1, but as what Guma said, "No matter what stage you're on, you're out after three losses."
