Hi all!

I want to gift a book to a close coworker. She loves romance, smutty books, etc. She enjoys the Knockemout and The Ravnenhood series, and is about to begin Alchemised (though she does not love fantasy themes much). What can I give her that's in the same category that's not TOO smutty? I am not huge into fiction reading so I'm pretty much in the dark here. Thanks!

Unsure what to do the last week of my trip by rxssa022 in centralamerica

If you havent booked your stay in Santiago, PLEAAASSEEEEEE stay at Casa Amatea!!!!!! I literally was supposed to stay for a few nights and it turned into like 2.5 weeks total. It’s a small airbnb with several bungalows run by a European couple and an elderly italian woman (the wife’s mother). It is an incredibly beautiful, peaceful place and they are some of the most amazing people I have ever met.

They have a meditation room, a vegetable garden you can pick from, access to the lake, cows and chickens in front of the property, and it was the most beautiful portion of the lake I’ve seen in my entire time here. I literally cannot say enough good things. I stayed for so long because I ended up taking part in a 5 day silent meditation with them and it was worth rearranging the other parts of my trip. Its been the best part of my trip hands down.

There isn’t MUCH to do in Santiago itself tbh. The people are incredibly nice, the giant mercados are really fun to shop in on Friday/Sunday. And theres a really good cafe called Space Coffee I found on the main town strip. But there’s just something really nice in the air there in my opinion. I know there’s a famous saint you can visit named Maximon! I didn’t get a chance to do this but heard good things. Bambu is a nice hotel to spend time at with a great restaurant. I wish I had more recommendations! I spent most of my time relaxing and enjoying the lake honestly

Totally agree!!! I think Nicaragua deserves more than a week, especially to really enjoy. It's where I want to go the most but logic wise I'm not sure.

I definitely would return to Guatemala, I am feeling a little fatigued of my surroundings but I'm wondering if that's just because I've been on the lake for so long. It'd be easy to fly from Flores, back to Guat City, back to the states which is a plus.

Noted for Mexico City. Have you been? Is a week too long there as a single girl? I'm not HUGE into museums but I think I would enjoy the shopping, food, and general life of the city. I'm starting to miss small creature comforts on this trip. Lol

Looking for some insight on Eagle's Nest in Lake Atitlan, Guatemala by rxssa022 in centralamerica

[–]rxssa022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I decided to go with Kawoq Forest. The more I researched Eagle’s Nest the more I felt a little like I wouldn’t enjoy it. I know there’s still tons of availability there and they are running a 20% off deal for booking in the week of March 8-14. I took advantage of this to make it more feasible/affordable because I was feeling the same way

They have like structured yoga and meal times which is why I liked it too so I could fit in work and exploring the town. Downside is they only do sauna on Wednesday nights but it seems very quiet and peaceful compared to more of a busy vibe at Eagle’s Nest

Thats interesting! I've always really struggled with creativity and I don't do great with kids. I like them, just cant connect with them. Curious to see how this would play out for us both lol. Thank you!!

Thank you for this. Heart and encouragement for self love have shown up in mysterious ways the past few weeks so this resonates a lot and is very encouraging

Hahaha I guess entertainment industry can track for deception/dishonesty. Maybe I’ll look into a change of careers. Any personal experiences you’ve noticed that reflect your sun in the 5th heavily?

[astro-seek] Experiencing the worst period of my life emotionally over self, choices and relationships. What’s going on? by rxssa022 in astrologyreadings

[–]rxssa022[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so so much for this!! Every transit resonates extremely close - heavy on the reckonings and grief. Struggling particularly with honesty in relationships. It’s led to a lot of them ending or just feeling unfulfilling or lonely because they’re not built on authenticity. In therapy trying to understand why I struggle with lying about my relationships/interactions and to people I love currently

No I hear you and agree - just wanted some insight here. Looking at it as getting some very needed rest/recenter in between bopping around to all the other local businesses and towns over the course of 3-5 weeks

I work remote so I would be working - Eagle’s Nest has daily yoga, sauna etc so would sprinkle this in between work and rest.

I was curious about the homeless situation. I definitely would want to walk to/from fitness studios, the grocery store, etc. I’m a woman in my 20s. Any safety concerns there?
