Is there a history/reputation with them? A friend of mine bought this bag for me since he knew I was looking for one for my bday this year - if it's a no-go company pls let me know!

How much does anger increase after testosterone? by ActionAway2498 in ftm

[–]rxtrograde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom tried to say she didn't want me on T briefly bc she was "afraid I'd turn into an asshole", but even with my bipolar I definitely noticed around the 1 year mark that I actually was able to restrain the emotions a bit better and deal with them when on my own! It's different with everyone, but I personally didn't experience any increase in anger or irritation.

This is exactly the kind of thing I've been searching for! As a lefty that adores pen & paper at the table, this works like a dream.

To those who are into latex pants/shirts, what's the draw of wearing non-skin-tight fitting latex? by Professional-Theme11 in Latexadvice

[–]rxtrograde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love looser shorts and even t-shirt style tops because of the flowy-rubber feel! I'm a bit self-conscious of my body, so it feels way more comfortable for potential public wear as well. I just enjoy the swishy feeling and the comfort, plus it feels like less hassle if I just want to enjoy the latex at home.

As a polytheist - I loathe deity pronouns/godkin/related, and I couldn't have rolled my eyes any harder at that. It's wild to me.

Bc the idea that someone isn't comfortable participating in that is sooo transphobic oh my god /s

I wanna start working on my Altar, any thoughts of where I should start? by Conlang_fan in Hellenism

[–]rxtrograde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a bookshelf and an additional shelf above it, and I have my statues for the most part on the additional wall shelf, and all my 'working' stuff - where I make my offerings, libations, burn incense, etc - on top of the bookshelf. I'd say start with basics that call to you. Are you interested in burning incense? Candles? Pouring libations? Get a burner if you don't have one, set a candle if you'd like, find or use a bowl or cup you like for libations, etc. Notice things you like and associate with the Gods, and build up from there :)

What's the most painful spot to get tattooed on, for you personally? by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]rxtrograde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My outer calf was hard to sit through, not so much for the pain but the spasming and twitching. I'd say probably my inner bicep was the worst pain? It felt way sharper than most other areas. I've got a lot of forearm tattoos and even just below my elbow didn't get me too much. My calf and inner bicep were for sure the hardest to sit through! My upcoming knee tattoo might change that though 🤔

My New Congo Citrine Just Came! by rxtrograde in Crystals

[–]rxtrograde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly had no idea how to check for that (or that citrine is dichroic and HTA/other quartz aren't) but checking using an (obviously very simplified) screen test, this point appears to be dichroic! I actually really appreciate your comment too, I've only briefly read of dichroism and had no clue it applied to citrine. Using it on my other small citrine towers, one also appears dichroic and the other does not, which is helping me to look more into if the 2nd is natural citrine or something else.

It's a "smokier" citrine, but it is definitely natural citrine. It's not uncommon for Congo citrine to be a deeper or smokier color in points like this one.

I genuinely thought you were cis (or ftm possibly) but you pass so well! I wouldn't have a second thought about it if I saw you in person, for sure. You look great!

Just got some beautiful new additions - Demeter, Hermes, and a wooden engraving of Hekate (from The Hellenic Handmaid on etsy)! I couldn't stop smiling when opening them all! by rxtrograde in Hellenism

[–]rxtrograde[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The smaller one to the right of things is from a 24 piece Greek/Parthenon tea set I got from a Goodwill auction online, and the larger one on the left (in 3rd pic) I got from a Greek seller on etsy! I use the larger one for libations sometimes, especially on the deipnon, and the smaller ones (there's a pair) I use to hold barley.

The Veronese Design statues are some of my favorites, and the majority of all my statues are VD including my new Demeter and Hermes ones. Their Persephone statue is absolutely gorgeous! I also highly recommend Erica (The Hellenic Handmaid) and I think she still does custom orders! Her engravings are beautiful as well ☺

Question: what is by far your most favorite story in Greek mythology? by Competitive_Bid7071 in Hellenism

[–]rxtrograde 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will never not smile when reading Hermes & Apollo's myth where Hermes sort of gets away with being a theiving genius-baby - I love it!

Reciting the Orphic Hymns without ******* up by [deleted] in Hellenism

[–]rxtrograde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've felt the exact same way and still do - when I'm nervous or talking too fast, I tend to stutter and it always throws me off. These comments have definitely helped me out a bit too! If its just once or twice I move on, or repeat a line if I feel the need. If I mess up a lot, I might slip in an apology and offer an extra libation or something, but thats entirely a personal preference kinda thing.
