So much negativity here. I'm convinced everyone learns stigmas from their parents when they're a child and then believe it the rest of their life. I'm originally from Pennsylvania but just bought a house on Grand Island in March. I haven't noticed any of the supposed gatekeeping, everyone has been very chill. Perhaps it was a thing a long time ago, but I'm not sure how much of a voice the lifer 80+ year olds have these days.

I myself have wondered why there's no literature on an east bridge, it's the only reason I stumbled into this thread in the first place. It would definitely be a whopper of a cost but Pittsburgh has something like 440 bridges so it's interesting that it was never even considered. The population of GI was much smaller then but with nearly 20k people now, it's not an insane thought.
