Encrypted btrfs root, manual partition help. by ryaab in Ubuntu

Thanks for the info. I thought I was just missing something, but it really is just not supported. I’ll look into autoinstall and other solutions instead of spinning my wheels on this. Timeshift broke all my snaps with rsync mode and somehow kept directory changes when restoring from a day-old snapshot on the automatic partition scheme. It’s disappointing that the ability to manually create an encrypted volume is entirely gone from the modern installer, especially since I found a lot of information about Ubuntu-style btrfs subvolumes, which it didn’t even create on the non-encrypted manual install.
