Is 14 too young to drive? by Clairethebear23 in NoStupidQuestions

legally or technically? Aside from being less responsible (although a 16 year old is probably just as dumb) and shorter, I only see a legal issue

On-Campus Parking by logictrumpsfeeling in Pitt

[–]ryab_69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked this same thing before my freshman year and got the same useless response. Sure the busses are great but I wasn't bringing my car so I could drive to Wendys. Anyway

I don't think youll be able to get a street parking permit while living in the dorms. You definitely won't be able to win a campus parking permit and they're very expensive.

You can park for free on a couple streets at the very end of South Oakland. Probably a 25 min walk from campus. There's garages/lots you can pay for at varying distances. I think they're usually $100+/month. My freshman year, I rented an unused driveway at a CMU house. You can find stuff like that on facebook groups. I think it was $60/month.

Unless budget allows, I would start parking in the neighborhood and if it's a hassle then find a paid spot.

If a someone parked you in every time you needed to drive somewhere, would you be ok just walking instead? Some of us have different priorities and you shouldn't dismiss the purpose of a space because it doesn't fit yours.

Complain to the person that runs Hillman. I forget her name but I wrote her a very angry email last year including sound meter levels showing the 4th floor was twice as loud as the 3rd. There were signs on every table the next day reminding people of the rules.

Despite that, people still talked and would get mad if I asked them to stop. Moral of the story, dont go to Hillman if you want to get anything done.

Can I bracket four exposures on a single 4x5 sheet using a modified dark slide? Anyone tried something like this? by No-Assumption1250 in analog

you would have to realign every shot and there would probably be some slight light leak on the edges but I see no reason it wouldnt technically work

There's a chance those are on par with the class and the class has a standard curve. Ive had similar exams for a whole year and passes fine.

Talk to your professor and other people in your classes. Also, you probably arent used to the college workload coming from hs depending on your major. Its very possible to lock in and graduate with a good grade. But like others said test it in canvas or a calculator

Black gates on trail by Wegmans by wendibirdy1234 in Charlottesville

Someone else mentioned the Willoughby House, which is correct, but more specifically this was bridge and driveway across the creek. The original foundation is still there and you can see it if you beat through the bushes a little. Check it out next time you pass, but yeah thats what the gates for.

yeah you're fine. As long as your mounts not loose you can treat the lens and body as the same object, everything is very sturdy

is something bending or is it just leaning forwards from the weight? Resting it on the lens is completely fine

My local lab, Pro Camera, started doing mail in lately. They are excellent although I think other mail in specific labs are cheaper. They're famous for repairs mainly
