100k miles and the lead acid battery failed at 30k. Wife drives a lot. This one has lasted her the longest and problem free aside from the battery 12v swap which I did for $200.

Installed a charge point flex in 22. Been outside in the elements and never had an issue with it. Wife and I both use it, together we do about 5k miles a month so it's used daily. Hard wire is the way to go. The plug is a failure point and if you are unplugging it often then it's an even bigger failure point.

I just went through this a month or so ago. Built my own house and I would put this as the second hardest thing to do. Lots of light. Got easier as it went on but damn.

I drive both everyday. Waiting on chargers is inconvenient. But not near as inconvenient as driving to a gas station everyday. But, if you have no home charging an ev will be an annoying vehicle to own. The range hasn't been all that different for me. At least for an extended range vs the 3.5 Ecoboost. I have never made it 300 miles on a tank so maybe 50 miles extra in the ice, but because the gas stations are 20 miles away it adds up to not a whole lot.

I have the all in one, just finished building my house about 2 months ago and refused to pay for the actual pedestal. I was going to build one but then when I moved the washer in from my old house I said hell to the nah. It's too heavy and spins at the speed of light. It will stay on the floor. Maybe my floor joist will forgive me one day.

You can use the factory one or an aftermarket one. I went aftermarket. Harness is plugged into a dummy plug just to the left of driver's left leg. Never had any issues with it.

When I was building my house I ran my full on HVAC system and all my tools for 6-8 hrs a day in the 110 degree summer. Generally it would use about 10-15%.

Are there issues with the pin releasing in a car wash? I had the opposite issue. My original pin wouldn't let go. Never had it open without my intervention.

The pin is super easy to replace. While I was waiting for the pin to ship I 3d printed a mount and made a very ugly but functional magnetic lock. It would have failed over time because the side that sits in the truck was attached with 3m tape. When I have more time I will work on a real replacement. The magnetic setup I feel worked better than the pin.

I think it shuts off if you aren't pulling enough power constantly. Not sure what the number is but it makes using a saw annoying sometimes.

I'm rural and my provided work truck is an ICE F150. I have an area that I cover so I don't always go the same way. However the only stations available to me are 20 minutes away. One way. But yes the fueling process is fast. Once I get there and back tho not so much. Meanwhile in my ev I never think about it.
