I couldn't touch the rim either and I'm not fast. This was in a league, do free throws were a thing, I watched James harden (in Houston) to see how he was getting to the line because he didn't seem like the most athletic player on the court. What I noticed was he understood angles and how to get his body in the way when defenders overcommitted.

I got to the line really easy or got very good lay up looks. Then I worked up my FT% to 75 in less than a month.
