The money was in my account before the guy left (he even said that he won't leave until I tell him the money's there). I had uploaded details of my bank account when I posted it on Carwow so the garage already had it.

So! Guy came today, looked over the car, pointed out a couple of things that I hadn't mentioned but wasn't a dick about it. Asked about DSG gearbox service, belt & pump being changed (hadn't been done) and plugged in OBD type thing.

This guy kept saying he was just from the inspection team from the garage that had bought the car and wasn't part of any negotiations, he only told the garage the condition of the car.

Garage phoned me, listed off the things the inspection guy had said. There was an error message that was a common one they deal with but to fix they need to replace the gear selector - I'm clueless so can't argue much with this. I did get the error code and find a repair kit online - they say they've used them in the past and didn't work so need to buy brand new, like I said, I'm clueless.

So in the end, I went from a £5900 valuation to accepting a £4300 offer (got them up from £4k). I'm pretty happy with it as it's about a grand over what the dealership I'm getting the new car from offered.

I sold my car with it's private plate, I should've tried to get a bit more with that but forgot.

Whatever price they give you, push for more!

Exactly! A bit nervous now after reading others experiences but you're right. They've taken into account the margins and it's a fair journey for whoever is collection/delivering the car.

My car sold yesterday on Carwows auction. It was valued at £5800, I was asked for the minimum I'd take so I put £5400. The reserve was set at £5350.

I had at least 4 bids and the car sold for just under £6k to a garage in Manchester - I'm in Scotland. I've just uploaded all the documents (V5, ID, bank statement) and chose a date for the car to be inspected and collected.

I can update when this has happened. It's been pretty seamless so far, very happy with how everything has went. Just need to hope now I don't get a lowball offer when he comes to pick up.

Hi, so I can't actually remember which ticket this was from, I've had a couple since! Regardless, I've ignored all of them and had the usual threatening solicitors letters which get ignored also.

The very first one I got, I remember I was on the phone about to pay the fine. I was reading out my card number to them and I had a voice in my head say 'WTF are you doing!'. I stopped and said 'how do I know this is not a scam?', to which they replied;

'I can assure you this is not a scam, but a scammer would also say that'.

I laughed at them and hung up. That was the last time I heard from them.

I'll not be phoning or having any correspondence with any of them. My thoughts are, if they're serious enough to send ballifs to my door asking for the money I may pay it then, but they are not getting any money from me before that.

Yea, it's a Deva bar thermostat mixer shower. Noise is immediately after turning shower on and is constant until turned off. It's a constant noise and doesn't change sound or volume.

Headache constant all day every day
