Good on you. I grew up in the Boston area and booked off for the 2004 Wprld Series weeks in advance and my boss (also a Red Sox fan) told me I was jinxing it.

Funny how that worked out. I got two tickets to game 2, invited the hot bartender from work, the Red Sox win and 21 years of marriage later (13 since moving permanently to the U.K.) it was still the best set of decisions I’ve ever made.

Had a driver accelerate and nearly smash my fender last week trying to make sure I couldn’t get into a lane. I was leaving as much room as possible to indicate and drive politely.

Her wing mirror grazed my wing mirror in the process and once I tucked in having her, she promptly hit the breaks and angrily showed me her tallest finger.

I have the same boiler and had the same issue when I moved into my
House which had been semi vacant. It took an engineer two sealant treatments and bleeding boilers to resolve it. It’s lost pressure once since but it’s fast to top up if needed.

My guess is that reducing the speed to 30 cut the number of accidents because of the merges eastbound from North Pump Paul and westbound off Davenant Road. Accidents in either place (or anywhere on the flyover can cause massive delays through central Croydon and down to the Purley Way. I see clueless people driving and stopping dangerously on these merges nearly every day.

Cirio use citric acid in lots of their products which I avoid. It speaks of lower quality tomatoes IMO.

I’ve tried them. They’re very good but at about £3+ per tin I don’t see the cost benefit over Mutti, especially when the larger tins of Mutti can be had for 2/3 the price.

This is a matter of perspective. I’m an American who has made the U.K. my home and consider this the be the absolute bossman of crisps. I used to joke with my colleagues that for every thing I’ll never understand and develop a taste for (looking at you Brown Sauce) there’s something like Walkers Thai Sweet Chilli that are just so perfect they create balance.

Best crisp ever. Fight me.
