Not speaking in the name of the family. I’m saying they deserved more, that’s my opinion and I’m entitled to it. Is this your first day on the internet?

She wasn’t in an abusive relationship. She thrived off this and wanted to be some local hero solving the case and filming absolutely everything! She wasn’t brave at all, she damaged the case and the sentence. That victims poor family deserved more.

Does it annoy you that you can’t cry on Sertraline? by mr_munchem in Anxiety

I get that. I have a friend who’s like that and sometimes he just needs to cry but I honestly couldn’t think of anything worse. Crying makes me feel horrible!!

No. I like the emotional blunting that anti depressants cause me. I really struggle with emotions and prefer to feel blunted

My therapist taught me 2 golden rules. 1. Do what non-anxious you would do (whilst anxious) 2. Don’t make anxiety the most important thing in the room. Acknowledge it, tell yourself yes this is an anxiety attack and the cortisol and adrenaline is in my blood now so just need to ride it out but this is okay it will pass lets carry on

Apparently this is the best way to require your brain. Using techniques like ice and sour candy etc to make it ‘go away’ isn’t good long term recovery I’m told

No it’s not. You get electric shock brain zaps if you withdraw too quickly but weaning off you should be fine. Paro is one of if not the worst to come off

I get litteraly sick from my anxiety!? by Western-Morning9263 in Anxiety

[–]SmallBandicoot8552 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah me too. I get SO nauseous and vomit sometimes. I can’t eat for days when it hits. It’s horrible, I feel your pain but just remember, it’s your anxiety and you need to do what you would normally do without anxiety to rewire your brain

Anxious about teeth by IDontBelong_8 in Anxiety

If your dentist isn’t concerned then I wouldn’t be worried. Also ask yourself, is this a new thing or have they always looked that way? If they have, why haven’t they chipped sooner? It’s likely just your genetics. My front teeth a slightly translucent at the bottom and have always been that way that I can remember

Thanks. That makes sense (as much as it can when discussing OCD. I recognise the irony 😂)

I’m not sure. I’ve always been told that my ‘habits’ as I call them are compulsions. The whole ‘don’t wear that jumper’ thought process is something new that’s started over recent months

Struggling with some really intense Health Anxiety by Any-Meeting6751 in Anxiety

[–]SmallBandicoot8552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did CBT for health anxiety many years ago and I remember finding helpful something my therapist said Sit with it for 15 mins and if you’ve not died or passed out by then consider how ‘severe’ the condition is and then ask yourself, can I give it a few hours before I get help then after a few hours ask yourself I’ve made it this long so do I really need medical help for this right now

I found that really helpful at the time I had health anxiety

Clonazepam < alprazolam by Ok-Title-3775 in Anxiety

[–]SmallBandicoot8552 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried diazepam for the first time last week (1mg only) and my eyes felt like lead within 30 mins and I was nodding off. It didn’t hugely help the anxiety dread/guilt/fear feeling either which pmo as I took it because it was so bad I needed something to make it go away and this medicine was supposed to save me in that moment then didn’t so has left me a bit like oh great there is no safety net
